OK, for those curious, Shea will STILL bring up Trump’s “both sides” line whenever he wants to talk about how wicked and nazish those maga folks are.
The fact that now the Pope himself has said “fine people on both sides” (including a side with literal nazis) is just a perfect bit of kismet.
I can’t get to The Pillar, but from the context in the tweet it looks like those were the author’s words, not the Pope’s.
Brothers and sisters in Christ are my brothers and sisters in Christ.
The synod on synodality says that the LGBTQ are my brothers and sisters… in Christ? Hell no. The LGBTQ left the Catholic Church and Christ and excommunicated themselves by their own choice. Pope Francis is putting the burden on us for their absence. Hell no. Saints are people who follow Jesus Christ here and in heaven. Are the LGBTQ not acting in free will? Why is Pope Francis not seeing to their excommunication? Excommunicate the faithful so all persons will be equal …in hell.
Saint Thomas Aquinas told his sister that to get to heaven one must will it.
“Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power.” George Orwell, 1984
‘The LGBTQ left the Catholic Church and Christ and excommunicated themselves by their own choice.’
What did Jesus tell His Apostles? “Shake the dust from your feet against them.”
