It occurred to me back in 2020 that Nero, Caligula, Hitler, Stalin (and many others, but my history education is not that great) are not simply historical figures. Some one of that ilk is born nearly every day. They may not rise to the top to do damage on such a massive scale, but they live today.

My greatest regret in homeschooling is that I did not teach my children about evil, and that “history” is not just interesting stories. History is also a warning from people’s past to us today- a warning I fear that falls on deaf ears. I know I didn’t hear them.

Sure, my children know Nero was a truly awful guy. But they can’t fathom that such a man (or woman) as he might be their next door neighbor, or their elected official, or even their doctor or public health official.
So you see what we here in NZ have been putting up with for 5 years. She is a blatant liar – everyday she makes statements that are either disproven within days, or its deliberate – she is of limited intelligence, and it shows. She was the president of World Socialist Youth for a term that ended in 2010 (I think) when she was a member off parliament. The only way she stayed in power at the 2020 election was the Christchurch Massacre in 2019, and the so called Covid pandemic where they instilled fear into the population through constant propaganda, and a payoff fund to the media of $55.mil. to keep them on side – so our media whores promote her, and the 20 – 59 female demographic who see her as a saviour. However, the gloss in wearing off thankfully, and next October’s election should see the back of this harridan.
I have been most dissapointed – along with many of my generation – how kiwis have caved in to the fear mongering and the shallow facade of this woman & her most imcompetent government in our history.
For many years, we had the reputation of being a proud nation of self sufficient, staunch and positive people who internationally punch well above our weight, with courage and honour – with the long march of Extreme liberalism and leftism through our institutions, sadly that reputation has become very tarnished.
About Mx. Ardern, you look at Barack Obama, then at Justin Trudeau, then at Jacinda Ardern and you see something terribly wrong. We’ve seen a complete breakdown of the peer review function among politicians and public alike. No one with her background should have been considered for any position bar that on a p/t municipal council or school board. Constituency parties should have told her ‘learn a trade, get a couple of kids to middle school, and get back to us later, tootsie”. Instead, she’s in parliament and then in the PM’s chair. New Zealand’s voters should have rejected the Labour Party for having the audacity to install her as their champion. Same deal with Justin Trudeau, who was a high school drama teacher turned serial grad school dropout. (Obama was a simulacrum of a law professor).
So right Art. She along with Turdeau, Macron et al. are acolytes of Klaus Swab & the WEF. We have MMP electoral system in NZ, and she came onto the Labor party list after losing 2 elections for an electorate seat. Then in our 2017 election, the centre-right National party gained the greater percentage of votes but not enough to govern without a coalition partner. Winston Peters, the leader of NZ First which is a centrist party held the balance of power, and under our crazy system, it was left to him to select which party he would coalesce with. Ardern, who had been rushed into the leadership of the Labor party about 2 months before the election to bolster its lagging poll numbers, offered Peters the most baubles, so Peters ‘installed’ her as PM. She has a degree in – wait for it – Communications, from one of our lesser universities. Events have conspired to place her in a position well above her paygrade, but many women young & old think she is marvellous. (gag) and propped up by the Green party, she holds a narrow majority in parliament – but that will end next year. Her poll results are tanking and she has been on a downhill slide for 9 months now, and the total incompetence of her govt. is staggering. So on-one will mind – they will cheer – when the door slaps her on the bum on her way out.
