Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.

A short story;
Ted. Male. A 34 year old Catholic who identifies as a woman and goes by the name of Terry.
Holy Spirit. Being played by himself.
Bob. A 58 year old Catholic. White male. Straight.
Terry: “I’m am fully aware and confident that the Church will grow exponentially once it embraces the culture. An old worn out Church is what we have today. Low attendance.
Low participation. Low charisma.
A rainbow Church will add new life to the Church. New attendees. New parishioners. New and exciting messages that, inspired by the Holy Spirit will elevate the Church.”
“I’m very proud that I’m on the advisory board.”
Bob; How do you know the Holy Spirit is behind you? Supporting your ideas?
Terry; “Because the Holy Spirit is in me and I am in union with him.”
Bob; “Ted…I mean uh, Terry. You told me yesterday that your live in partner broke up with you because you were staying out late with other ..other umm..”
Terry interrupts….”BOB. You don’t understand our culture and difficulties living in the wrong body. God makes mistakes and until you realize that, you can’t possibly know the hardships we go through. Fortunately for me the Holy Spirit speaks to me all the time..leading me every minute of every day.”
Holy Spirit; “No I don’t.”
“Your listening to the adversary Ted.”
Terry: “Who said that!”
In Ted’s case and others like him, the Holy Spirit does try to break through the fog of pride to lead him and others back to the Truth. Unfortunately, without examination of a formed conscience and grace, the fog interferes with the recipient.
Couragerc.net is one Catholic apostolate that helps clear away the fog.

That image reminds me of the film Dogma…
Amen, Philip.
Let us pray for the ascent to the See of Peter of a true Vicar of Christ, who will denounce and anathematize every heretical, schismatic or otherwise erroneous utterance, written or spoken, to have come forth at any level from this scandalous pontificate, and who will excommunicate, for the good of their immortal souls, every living clerical or lay person responsible for such utterances. Only then can the long and challenging work of restoration begin. Our Lord will never abandon us if we don’t abandon Him.
Holy Angels, pray for us!
St. Michael, protect us!
Hyper-centralization in the Vatican finally bit the whole Latin Church on the behind. The pontiff’s green-light to progressive schismatics is going to cost the faithful dearly. None of us here will live to see it repaired, short of the Second Coming happening in the interim.
“That’s so gay it’s G-H-E-Y!”

The Coptic Orthodox Church is looking better and better with each passing day. Tawadros II may not be perfect, but he’s lightyears ahead of Francis.
