An excellent summary of what we face. I pray daily for a true Vicar of Christ to replace whatever it is we now have occupying the Holy See.
The Catholic Church seems bent on learning the lessons taught to biblical Israel: the corrupt chasing after idols will lead to destruction.
It would be nice to imagine that my grandchildren will be Catholic. If they are, they will be much more like the post-fumi-e Japanese Catholics than those of their grandsire’s time.
But the important thing is that their official, Rome-approved bishop will be comfortable, morally-unconflicted and acceptable to the authorities of the thing that wears America’s skin by then.

Aren’t we all. And about every kind of institution you could imagine. I’ve never lived at a time when people in authority were lest trustworthy.
Many in the Church hierarchy are acting like King Solomon did when he fell under the influence of his foreign wives.
AD, they are not people in “authority”. They are people in “power”.
