Grandbaby Murder: Parental Consent

About 63,000,000 babies, plus or minus, have been killed in America since the unconstitutional, illegitimate 1973 Roe v. Wade judicial legislation. That’s the grandchildren of over 250,000,000 grandparents, a quarter of a billion – Grandmas and Grandads who never got to hold their grandchildren, look into their eyes, and say “I love you.”

Some of these babies were killed in states with so-called “judicial bypass” laws. In these states, a minor child, with the assistance and encouragement of many state employees and employees of businesses funded with state money, can kill their unborn baby secretly so that the grandparents, the minor child’s parents, never know what has been done. Some states have so-called “parental notification” and/or “parental consent” laws that require that the parents of a minor girl be informed by the state employees or abortion business employees when she is seeking an abortion. In the “consent” states, the girl’s parents must consent to their daughter’s abortion.

In a “parental consent” state, those seeking to have her abort the child are legally required to inform the girl’s parents and to obtain their consent to have the baby killed.

Consider what this means. There is a young girl who is pregnant. Several, in some cases many, people know she is pregnant and want to enable, facilitate, and expedite the killing of the baby, including those employed by businesses that profit from the killing and those whose politics sees such murders as the exercise of a “human right.”  The “girl’s parents” are the grandparents of the baby. The law requires that Grandma and Grandad say, “Yes, you have our permission and we authorize you to kill our grandbaby.”

Cooperation in the Evil Act of Another

In catholic doctrine, for a girl or woman to knowingly abort her unborn child is an action that is intrinsically evil. Other actions, for example, torture, racist actions, voluntarily engaging in homosexual actions, attempting to legally redefine marriage, human trafficking, “mercy” murder or euthanasia, and assisted homicide-suicide, are also intrinsically evil. Such actions are always evil, no matter what the circumstances, and no matter what is the intent of the person acting. Such actions can never be condoned, facilitated or promoted.

Not only does the girl or woman who kills her unborn child in an elective abortion commit an intrinsically evil act, but those who intentionally assist her in doing so also engage in the intrinsic evil.

Catechism On Formal Cooperation In Evil

The Catechism says this about such cooperation in evil:

Sin is a personal act. Moreover, we have a responsibility for the sins committed by others when we cooperate in them: by participating directly and voluntarily in them; by ordering, advising, praising, or approving them; by not disclosing or not hindering them when we have an obligation to do so; by protecting evil-doers. (Formal Cooperation in the Evil Act of Another; Catechism of the Catholic Church 1868).

Formal cooperation in evil is always wrong.

Explicit & Implicit Cooperation In Evil

Formal cooperation in evil involves one agreeing to the evil act, whether or not one oneself actually does the evil act itself. In such cooperation, another person freely and knowingly assists an individual or an institution in the immoral act.

Formal cooperation with evil can be explicit or implicit  – and both are wrong.  A person explicitly formally cooperates with  the person actually doing the action directly approves of the person committing the immoral act.  Formal cooperation can also occur when the person cooperating in the evil  concurs with or intends a component – one or more – of the act of the person doing the action. In the case of abortion, the action is an intrinsically evil action.

A person implicitly formally cooperates in evil when she or he intends her or his cooperation as a means to some other aim, goal, purpose or end, sometimes such an aim etc. itself being morally good. Such seeking of a good end for an evil action indicates an implicit approval of the evil of the person doing the immoral act.

In the context of the intrinsic evil of abortion, actions of those cooperating in the abortion can be cooperation in evil. For example: to willingly drive someone to get an abortion; to pay for it; to encourage it (if this is a factor in person’s will to do it); to defend the doing of it; as a doctor to prescribe the “abortion pill;” institutional collaboration or business collaboration, including having the abortion performed at the business’s facilities or at the institution’s facilities, and including filling prescriptions; and, as a doctor, even one who is personally morally opposed to abortion, referring a woman to another doctor, business, or institution knowing that the girl or woman will kill her child there.

Grandparent Formal Cooperation In Grandbaby Murder

In the “parental consent” states, grandparent cooperation in the evil of abortion involves wickedness, depravity and viciousness not present in several of the various forms of evil cooperation noted above.  The grandparents literally hold the life of their grandchild in their hands. In the arena of the abortion businesses and the demonic political efforts to enshrine this child sacrifice of abortion in law, in “consent” states Grandad and Grandma have the ultimate thumbs up or thumbs down for their grandbaby. Their thumbs down, their agreement to and authorization of the killing meets every criteria for describing their action as explicit formal cooperation in evil. Once then done, with their consent, just as their daughter has killed her daughter or her son, just as the abortionist and nurses have killed the baby, they have killed their grandchild.

Post-Roe

Now that the worst case ever decided by any group of U.S. Supreme Court justices has been nullified (see, e.g. https://the-american-catholic.com/2022/05/07/professor-charles-alan-wright-roe-is-wrong/), laws in every state dealing with abortion will be scrutinized. Those laws which relied totally for a jurisprudential basis on the illegal creation of a “right to abortion” in Roe will be easily subject to repeal or nullification. This can include the parental notification laws and the informed consent laws.

When murdering the defenseless unborn is seen first as a Constitutional right and now left up to the states to play god, the fact that abortion is always murder is still denied and seems it always will be. And the hypocrisy of those who are as fanatic about murdering unborn human beings as they are of passing more draconian gun control laws, claiming how appalled they are particularly when children are murdered, is beyond the pale.

Since the pregnant minor does not have informed consent to give, the Court makes of her a ward of the court and speaks for her imposing abortion without recourse to a grandparents’ defense of their daughter and their grandchild. No parental notification is abortion imposed. Becoming a ward of the court under those circumstances, without recourse to the civil right to Life is unintelligent.

Slightly aside; I’ve always “wished” for a law that requires all aborted babies must be named and properly buried, hoping that might serve as a deterrent and establishing for society that it is a human person being slaughtered.
