What's the velocity of pain? The mass of fear? The frequency of aspiration? The density of passion? The texture of courage?
Guess none of those things are real, either.
The real question: How stupid do people have to be in order to believe that @SamHarrisOrg
is smart? https://t.co/2LySPeY2EQ— Law of Self Defense (@LawSelfDefense) August 19, 2022
Sam Harris should quit while he is behind. His goal of proving that he is a fool has been reached beyond questioning, although is latest effort in buffoonery was quite impressive:
Showing my ignorance of “pop culture” here, but I had to look this clown up to remind myself who he even is. His petulant little rant doesn’t even rise to the level of sophistry, which requires skill and subtlety. It does, however, remind me of the statement attributed, erroneously, to Yuri Gagarin, who was said to have radioed back to his controllers during his orbital flight “I see no God.” But the real burn was from C.S. Lewis:
“When a Russian cosmonaut returned from space and reported that he had not found God, C. S. Lewis responded that this was like Hamlet going into the attic of his castle and looking for Shakespeare.” – Timothy Keller, The Reason for God
Outside of space and time; the term ‘heavens’ as applied to “up” is a figure of speech.
… how come it’s clever when one of these twits pretends to be an autistic 5 year old as far as making arguments go, but actual good-faith autistics freak them out?
Good CS Lewis quote. 😀
That’s funny- Tell him to keep looking. It should keep him busy for a while.
heaven is outside of space-time (that is, space-time conjectured by mathematical physicists). As is God. And, as has been said, if we fully what God is, it wouldn’t be God.
“if we fully understood what God is…”

I always find it hugely disappointing when any of these credentialed intellectual-types try to say something disproving God. Too often they either point to something that fails to unequivocally make their argument or they come across as just being angry. It’s disappointing to me because they often have the reputation of being some sort of undisputable big-brain that has only answers and truth, but what I hear is only hubris and absent wisdom. What I’m hoping for is truth and vision, but what I often get is just people and data. “Maybe they’ll say something enlightening and thought-provoking this time,” I think to myself. This is why I stopped listening to debates between Christians and atheists.
Sam Harris is looking into the physical world for the metaphysical. My response to atheists is: Go look in the mirror. Man is the image and likeness of God in his body and soul. Atheists refuse to admit to his soul wherein God endows all God-given civil rights. Denying God-given civil rights is the bottom of totalitarianism. Humanitarianism, real concern for mankind is not atheism .Humanitarianism is the loving of neighbor as oneself. Sam Harris is confused; greatly confused. I always hope and pray for a St. Paul knocked off his horse moment for all atheists.
“if we fully understood what God is…”
Jesus Christ is the revelation of God. If we fully understand who God is: God is the Infinite Supreme Sovereign Being, the first family of love. God is three Infinite Sovereign Persons. Infinite means without beginning and without end. Sam Harris had a beginning in the mind of God. All men are immortal for the purpose of God: Truth, Justice, Mercy. Let Sam Harris find Truth in the universe.
