Four centuries after this blessed priest was martyred the British still seem anti Roman Catholic. The term “papists” is shouted by crowds and in the press when there is a conflict over saving an infant’s life or a Mary Schiavo type case. There was a time when it was said Britain/ England would return return to the one true Catholic Faith during the reign of a queen. It looks as if time is running out.
