We had at least one gay sailor on my sub back in the late 70s and early 80s. No one bothered him and he didn’t bother anybody. 800 feet beneath the surface, you rely on each other because the unthinkable – fire, flooding, toxic gas emergency, radioactive release, etc. – can happen at any time. Nobody gave a damn about your sex life (though in port we all tried to outdo each other with the ladies of evening). Today is very different.

I could go on and post link after link after link. Guy’s, we’ll never survive a confrontation with communist China. This isn’t the Navy in which I served 4 decades ago.

Art, Lloyd Austin Secretary of Defense, Carlos Del Toro Secretary of the Navy and Admiral Benson Chief of Nanal Ops should have been fired after the collision of the Connecticut. Navy brass KNEW there were problems with the Captain, XO, Navigator and COB (Chief of the Boat) a whole year BEFORE the collision, and they white washed it. Same with the Bonhomme Richard fire. This is the woke LGBTQ Navy.

Both Austin and Miley are performing way below their pay grade. The mission of the military is to hurt people and break things. There used to be (enforced) a section in the Uniform Code of Military Justice regarding good order and discipline, the purpose of which is to see that the mission is accomplished. That seems to have been de facto repealed.
The expletives we called each other back when I was in the Navy was flattering compared to this crap.
