Quite an interesting article: A snapshot, it appears to cover just about everything about the present state of the Francis pontificate.

Regarding the July, 2021 surgery, it is now out in the open: “…it was a very heavy surgery, much more difficult than expected..” Also, the now direct admission that PF has serious diverticulitis, a serious condition for anyone, but especially one in his mid-80’s. The Francis faction seems to want to minimize his increasing illnesses to extend the influential lifespan of this dying political reign. And their power.

Another interesting note near the end of this article was that, typical it appears of Jesuit “rulers,” Francis is “frighteningly well-informed.” It is already well-known that there is a thick aura of suspicion in the Francis Vatican. Funny, that is the hallmark of Bergoglio. Funny.

Many seem to think that the next conclave will automatically elect a Francis clone: However, since the men Francis has appointed to the cardinalate are generally of a type that really have no fundamental moral ties, except to making themselves important, and since that importance has greatly diminished during this sorry pontificate, the “God of surprises” may have the last laugh on Pope Francis.

Sounds like what you’d expect from a leader who has replaced competent functionaries with compromised yes-men.

We’re nowhere near the end of this pontificate, though. Not enough has been destroyed yet.

All the bloody wheel-spinning. I’ll pray for a Pope who (1) is meticulous about saying his office and his private masses; (2) has a spiritual director: (3) does not travel any farther than Castel Gandolfo, (4) issues few encyclicals, motus proprios, &c. (5) withdraws all of Francis’ official statements, (6) shuts down a mess of dicasteries and offices, (7) shuts down the Vatican bank, (8) cuts the staff of the diplomatic corps, (9) limits the Holy See’s investments to portfolio investment only, and (10) relies on laymen of good character for secular functions and sends clerics out into the field, (11) shuts down crooked religious orders, and (12) is laser-focused on episcopal appointments.
