Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 41 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
This is a gem and really enlightening. I do hope the readers bother to hit the link on the dubia itself.

Answer the Dubia?
It’s more fun to gaslight.

Ambiguity has trumped clarity in this pontificate.
Sad.

It’s an unnatural state for me, to have such a low opinion of a Pope. Even Paul VI, with his shambles of a reign, gave us Humanae Vitae despite fierce opposition from all around him.
At the start of this pontificate, I recall seeing criticisms of Francis and dismissing them. But then he started to sack good men like Cardinals Burke and Canizares-Llovera— often in ways that were public humiliations.
He ground the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate into the dirt to no apparent reason.
He called synods only to rig them in the most public, grotesque, and clumsy ways. And then he ignored the Dubia submitted by four of his Cardinals. And finally there is the gratuitous cruelty of Traditiones Custodes, which basically enshrines Jim Crow laws for ‘undesirable’ sub-Catholics.
I didn’t want to come to the point where I have such distrust and dislike for a Pope— but here I am. I suppose I should look at this wretched Pontificate the same way Catholics did under Popes John XII, Benedict IX, and Alexander VI— as a chastisement to be endured.
Some of the Pope’s dialog, such as it is, can be seen at “The Pope Francis Little/Bumper Book of Insults” website.

Two words that he used only came to my attention by his use of them. They were coprophilia and coprophagia. I think he used one of them just recently. For someone who talks about stoning, Pope Francis has quite a papal linguistic rock pile to cast at others. He has in interesting idea about what encounter, dialog, and accompaniment are. I turned in my Popesplaining card a long time ago.
