The class consisted of me, two other lads, and eighteen young ladies, most of whom, the young ladies, could type like lightning. I never learned to type that quickly, but I did learn to touch type, a skill I have used almost daily from that time to this.
I never learned to type in HS nor college. It wasn’t until I was 30 and receiving a 100’s emails a day I decided to learn to type fast without looking at a computer.
I love you Mavis!

I had he same experience as you did, Don. I took typing along with one other male in a class of twenty-five. I still remember our teacher, the ever-patient Miss Allen, leading our early drills: “A-A-A-space-E-E-E-space”, on and on for what seemed like forever. But it worked, to my everlasting benefit. In this world, anyway. Do they have QWERTY keyboards in Heaven? 😁
Same here
The quick brown fox jumped over the fence. One couldn’t graduate from my Cathholic girls school without a typing certificate, yet the school didn’t offer the course.
