One of the more nauseating features of the Crybully Tyranny is the sheer mendacity of it all. The idea of censorship of at least half the country in the name of tolerance should be an example of satire rather than the policy of a vast social media platform. The suppression by Twitter of the Hunter Biden laptop story prior to to the 2020 election demonstrated the actual agenda at work. Forthright villains at least get points for honesty. With the Crybullies they are ever victims, especially when they are the tyrants.
If CS Lewis were writing the The Screwtape Letters today, he would only have to update the following passage to include women: “I live in the Managerial Age, in a world of “Admin.” The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid “dens of crime” that Dickens loved to paint. It is not done even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the office of a thoroughly nasty business concern.”

In some ways, Gadde has been preparing for that kind of faceoff her whole life. Early on, says Gadde, she realized there were some ugly things about the world. Born in India and moving to Beaumont, Texas, when she was 2 years old, she recalls learning later that her out-of-work chemical-engineer father was advised by a boss to get permission from a local Ku Klux Klan leader to go door to door collecting insurance premiums.
The Anti-Defamation League offered ca. 1983 an estimate of 8,500 for klavern membership in the United States, with the two largest federations thereof having about 3,000 members each. Then one of these outfits declares bankruptcy that year and admits to a membership of 1,800. So, you figure around 5,000 klavern members at a time when the South had a population of 70 million. (The FBI estimate in 1975 was 2,200 klavern members). You have a membership of 5,000 on a base of 70 million people, or 7 per 100,000. There were about 340,000 people living in Jefferson County, Tx, Orange County, Tx, and Cameron Parish, La. at the time. So, you figure a couple dozen klavern members in those counties.
When I was living in Baltimore in 1982 one set of klaverns (it may have been Bill Wilkinson’s) planned a parade in Washington. It never came off and they were loaded on a bus by the local police and whisked away. You see, an anti-klan demonstration was organized which drew 5,000 people and decayed into a minor riot. They were protesting the presence of 37 klansmen.
There actually were about a half dozen murders attributable to klavern members during that run of years. Five were committed by an unaffiliated klavern in Greensboro, NC, who attacked a demonstration organized by a Maoist outfit. The sixth was committed by a chapter of Robert Shelton’s outfit (in Alabama, IIRC). The $PLC actually represented the deceased’s mother in a wrongful death suit. Shelton’s outfit had to turn over all their assets, which at that time consisted of a quonset hut valued at $51,000.
The woman’s a purveyor of biographical fiction and the knuckleheads at Politico lap it right up.
I smell a lawsuit. Surely there are some hungry lawyers out there who see a golden opportunity.
This puts a new spin on “and hear the lamentation of their women.”
Most noteworthy is how far out of touch the left is with truth. It’s measured in light years.
