If true, this is the second Russian Major General who the Ukrainians have finished off since the War started. For a relatively small force like the Russian invasion army this is devastating. The reference to operators from Ukrainian military intelligence may mean that the Ukrainians are getting inside tips as to the comings and goings of senior Russian officers. That would be a comforting thought to the brass of the Russian invasion force. The psy ops of the Ukrainians have been absolutely brilliant.

I had a second-hand, paperback book that covered great military campaign in history. One chapter was about the 1939 – 1940 USSR invasion of Finland and a Finn sniper, Simo Hayha, that killed [maybe] 1,000 Soviet soldiers.
Seems Russia generals are amateurs.

Here’s a different take, maybe these two deaths are due to fragging. We’ve all read that the Russian conscripts were lied to about the mission. That morale being rock bottom. I’m also wondering about how many desertions there’s been. Young Russian soldiers making their way to Moldava or Romania or wherever seeking asylum. The footage of the 40 mile convoy never seems to show any humans out and about.

Speaking of psy ops, going back to the Cold War, the Soviet navy used to have rubber “submarines” at their Murmansk base piers. The jig was up when in aerial photos the subs started to deflate.
