That’s the thing- they get away with it because they know nobody holds them to account. Nobody. Because holding them to account apparently constitutes “bullying” your fellow clergymen…Soon to be clergywomen at this rate.
Personnel is policy. The man is promoted because Francis approves of his actions, and wants more of the same.
Well, anyone who praises to the skies the thin theology of the gossipy Pope and includes a hater of the previous pontiff is manifestly unsuited to the task of shepherding Catholic souls.
But in fairness to this particular regime theologian, he was not the one who issued the doctored letter–that was Mons. Dario Vigano. Francis merely promoted him to No. 3 in the Congregation after that attempted fraud.
