Pope Saint Pius X: Miss Me Yet?

A great pope. My favorite is Leo XIII, with JPII next….
I once saw JPII at Battery Park from an nearby office window. The rain stopped, the clouds parted and a ray of light shone on him, causing a high level finance man (of Jewish faith) standing next to me to exclaim, “Now that ‘s enough to convert me.”
Beautiful quote from St. Pius X.
A quote that the current Pope couldn’t stomach.
Don L. Those moments when one is privileged to see a simple ray of light bursting forth onto a Holy man is not happenstance. What that did to the soul of the Jew standing beside you was meaningful, even if the Jew was just being flippant about it.
I believe those little moments are etched into the soul. For him, it could be one of many phenomena that just might lead to his conversion.
Another prominent Jew, Alphonsus Ratisbone, was amusing his Catholic friend by wearing a Miraculous Medal and repeating the Memorie prayer for nine days. Look what happened. He receives a plethora of graces from our Queen of Heaven and becomes a great evangelist for the Catholic Church.
We just don’t know what God has instore for us or our neighbors.
A white dove, a cloudburst, a smile that comes from a stranger at the most significant moment.
God is so good to us.
So very good.
