Thanks for posting. Every creature needs love.
Beautiful!
Bats are sorely misunderstood. If you’ve ever held a live one, particularly a small Brown Bat, you would learn what terribly delicate, fragile little creatures they are.
Bats are sky puppies! Think of them that way, and you’ll realize how cute they can be.
They carry rabies.
“They carry rabies.”
A very great many animals CAN carry rabies. NOT ALL animals DO carry rabies. That includes bats. Some bats (like some dogs) carry rabies. Some bats (like some dogs) do NOT. Yes, the percentage of bats contracting rabies is likely greater than the percentage of dogs. But the phrase, “They carry rabies,” without the necessary qualifiers is misleading.
Racoons often carry rabies as well, and they have opposable thumbs!
… If the racoons ever recruit the bats as their Air Force, we’re all doomed!
