Congealed Hate

It’s not only the hate.
The stupidity: it hurts.
Immune to facts.
Kipling had a low opinion of James I and his line. This poem applies to Biden and everyone on the left.

Learned in all things, wise in none.
Ungainly, babbling, wasteful, weak,
Shrewd, clever, cowardly, pedantic,

I was about to drop that on your Stupor Mundi post.
One of the enlightenment philosophers wrote the HRE was not one of the above.
I’m edgy. I can’t wait for the shooting to commence. This time it is about spite.
Whether Greek, Latin or English, I have a very difficult time doing this. But NOT doing this means hell. And I would really like to avoid hell.
Ἄριστος τρόπος τοῦ ἀμύνεσθαι τὸ μὴ ἐξομοιοῦσθαι.
Loosely translated: The best revenge: to not make one’s alike.
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, VI.6.1.
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you…”
Jesus Christ, Matthew 5:43-44.
PS, notice Jesus uses the word “ἀγαπᾶτε,” the infinitive of agape. That’s the kind of love we all (including me) are supposed to have for Mary Lemanski and all the others like her.
I should pray for her tonight during my evening devotionals before bed. It may not help her. But AA sponsor said it’ll sure help my attitude (which is very angry right now).
Opps, my bad – ἀγαπᾶτε” is the imperative. Argh! It’s been years since I tried this stuff. Jesus gave us the imperative in cases like this.
I want to emphasize that this woman isn’t some callow 23 year old cretinette. She’s 46 years old and the mulitplicity of positings indicates this is what comes out of her brain in reflective equilibrium. Note also, she’s the person the DuPage County Democratic Committee hired for public relations. A regard for appearances is part of her book of business.
PR increasingly demands exercises in self-infantilization–loud hot-takes and clickbait. Call it “Tik-Tokification” of public relations. That deeply-embarrassing video where the 42 year old Jen Psaki hangs out with the cross-dressing TikTok influencer to push vaccinations is a case in point.
“Owning the Cons” with hot takes is fine–so long as you do not get too far out in front of the herd, or say the quiet part out loud. If you do, instead of closing ranks, you’ll be left on your own. That was Lemanski’s problem–she said it out loud in public. DMing it to her fellow DuPage party pals would have been fine, or at worst have prompted a diffident rebuke.

???
Here you go, with the obligatory disclaimer about the next few minutes of your life.

“Hate”, “Race” and “Grievance” define the Democratic Party of today.
That’s they’re “precious” and it’s all they have.
If it hasn’t been noted before, as of this evening, Ms. Lemanski is in the job market as of 5pm Illinois time. Uber is looking for help.
There also was a profound apology expressed by the head of the Illinois DNC for the rather remarkable comments of the former employee, Lemanski.
Mary Lemanski’s Twitter profile seems gone. She’s the one who needs help. Democrats are the enemy. But I don’t wish this sort of thing on them. There’s got to be a better way than this.
Smartest decision she has made all year. Too late for her job, but not for fixing her life.
At 46 she has a lot of work to do Dale. It never ceases to amaze me the type of self-destructive remarks that people will casually make over the net, as if they were talking trash with a best friend over a fence. I expect teens to do this but not forty somethings.
I used to agree. Then I spent 12 years on Facebook and now I am not surprised in the least. Social media brings out the worst in people.
Social media brings out the worst in people.
Disagree. It brings out the worst in opinionated sea-hags. The retired social worker who was raging on our wall this morning about KR supposedly visiting some town in Florida near her is a woman who is difficult to take in meatspace as well. (Her sister is an actual friend on the distaff side, she not); the chum of hers saying in reply that KR is ‘disgusting’ is, I must remind myself, is someone who found the company of this loud and abrasive spinster satisfactory. The Dunning-Kruger exemplar who has recently left the employ of one of the high schools in Duval County, Fl. isn’t any less self-confident and voluble over dinner. The anabaptist clergyman who gives glib political statements over Fakebook gives them in person as well. The quantity is different, of course. There is one exception in our circle, a retiree from the office who has revealed himself in recent years to be an embittered political sectary. There have been, however, stranger things than that going on in his family.
Social media makes it so that you can’t be brow-beaten into agreeing that someone didn’t say the horrible thing that they did say, you must have misunderstood.
I can’t count the number of times I’ve been talking to someone and they’ve mentioned how they can’t believe what so and so said on facebook, then when they tell me it’s almost word for word what that person has been saying for as far back as I can remember.
