Plain Racism, Pure and Simple

We live in a time when racism is exalted and ignorance is celebrated.   What the West built up over millennia is cast into the gutter in less than a generation by credentialed fools.

I first encountered the Chicago Art Institute via the game Masterpiece in 1970 which my parents purchased for me at Christmas that year.  The paintings used in that game came from the Art Institute.  That triggered in me a life long interest in the history of Art.  I got to tour the Art Institute with a friend during a glorious day in August 1977.  Looking at the originals of great paintings is a treasured memory for me.  We did not make use of a docent, even then I had enough knowledge of Art to make their service superfluous for me.  However, I did observe their efforts with other patrons, especially kids, where their observations were necessary and appreciated.  Now, in the name of pathetic racial identity politics, to see these volunteer docents cast away is yet another sign that the West is engaged in writing a rather lengthy suicide note for posterity to read with horror.  I have framed prints and paintings on the walls of my law mine, none of any great extrinsic value in money, but important reminders to me that there is so much more to life than the frantic day to day hurley-burley that the practice of law so often consists of.

I agree with the late Kenneth Clark:

The light of reason and faith may fade, but will never completely go out, waiting patiently for better times and more appreciative people.

I have the Masterpiece game but haven’t played it in years. I bought it it the 1970s when I was in college in Cape Girardeau Missouri.

We live in an age of clarity, and clarity is a good thing. At this point, only the cowards are still on the fence.

You’re right FoS. The delineation between good and evil has hardly ever been as clear as we see it today. And I’m not just talking about our country but worldwide. We are just about at the point of where this world has been heading. We choose life or death. There is no in between. We either fight for the life of our children, our family and our faith or we will lose it all. Abortion, euthanasia, suicide, mutilation of genders denying God’s plan of families. There are two sides clearly marked.

Someone signed a memorandum directing this be done. Who is that person?

Keep in mind ‘the west’ isn’t doing this, but a segment of our chattering classes permitted by the sort of business and patrician types who sit on institutional boards.

Evidently, the docents were fired by Veronica Stein, who was hired in April as the ‘women’s board director of learning and public engagement’. She says about herself:

“I provide strategic leadership for teams during periods of cultural change and organizational restructuring. Informed by an extensive background in community-based arts education, I develop sustainable, culturally responsive programs while establishing initiatives that strengthen organizational capacity and enhance staff wellness. With a proven track record of success in process redesign and operational management, I bring a strong background in budgeting, people management, human resources, fundraising, and strategic planning.”

Note that this Stein woman is 41 years old and has degrees in film and photography and in ‘arts education’. She has no research degree and had to put in 10 years as a registered student to acquire the degrees she has (one from the state university in Chicago and one from the Art Institute itself). On her Linkedin, she lists no employment history other than the current position held. She lists lots of ‘projects’ and ‘public speaking’ instead.

This is the creature who either hired Veronica Stein or allowed a subordinate to hire her.

Veronica Stein is the daughter of Roland J. Roaches and Regenia Denise Stein. She offers a photograph with her LinkedIn profile and a photograph of Roland Roaches is swirling around the internet. Regenia Stein is Texas born and bred, the daughter of Johnnie Lewis Stein, Sr. and Katie Lou Talley (who can be located in the 1940 census living in Houston). Veronica Stein’s not an adoptee, just makes use of her mother’s rather anomalous family name.

So, Mr. Rondeau hired a middle-aged woman who would rather you not confer with the employers she’s had over the last eight years, a woman whose study of art history is apparently limited to a scatter of undergraduate courses, if that; who appears to have no husband and no children, and who once used the email address ‘fabulousbrownlady@yahoo.com’.

Veronica Stein is the Director and she did this

She has a strange title and is apparently the staff director of the women’s board. James Rondeau is the director.

We also had Masterpiece and tried to played it. At the time we were all under 10 so we probably didn’t play very well. We were all disturbed by the Rembrandt painting “Old Man with a Gold Chain” on the playing board. We though it was a woman with a beard. I didn’t know they were all from the same museum.

I’m not surprised by the “firing” of the volunteers. It’s Chicago. I once lived there for 6 months back in the late 80s. I could see where it was going then so I got out as fast as I could. My daughter attend Loyola there a couple of years ago. I hated to go there every time. The only fun time was the second week in November of 2016. You could hear the gnashing of teeth as you drove through the streets.

Of course, Chicago is not the West and, arguably, not representative of America.

Re: Out Here With Us In The Real World.

In 2020, BLM increased black decedents by murder by 2,164, or 28%.

BLM, anti-racism, etc. are parts of a massive ruse. Black wellbeing means nothing – except for Novembers every other year – votes for Democrats. Black murders in Democrat cities reflect third world horror stories.

In other news, Princeton professor charged with racism for questioning why black faculty members are paid higher amounts than whites.

It’s crazy out the and getting more crazier.

Any response yet from the Men’s Board Executive Director of Learning and Public Engagement? Take down all the valuable art by the white artists while they’re at it.
