I have to say I never thought I’d arrive at the conclusion that a police service was so corrupted the only thing to do was shut it down and hope for the best. Anyone with the title ‘special agent’, any attorney employed by the Bureau and anyone in the administrative hierarchy above them should be debarred from federal employment, no exceptions. You have a gangrenous limb, you’ve got to cut it off.

“Its a set up!”.. famous last words of somebody…..

So then when looking at a WaPo article about the oath keepers head not being prosecuted, i came across this interesting piece;

If they were to follow precedent from the DEA guy that was arrested following the Capital Jan 6 event, that agent would be fired whether they filed charges or not.

Also, you cannot simply fire someone due to association. Set that precedent and you will ruin many individual, not only the FBI, that have done nothing wrong. Get an outside agency or department to investigate instances where a federal agent is arrested in such mass rallies/protests, and if you can show they had a hand in its creation or in pushing for a violent shift, then you can fire them.

@Art, I could easily use the precedent you are trying to set to remove any “troublesome” employees at my company that decided to participate in an event that I disagreed with. All I’d have to show is that there was some kind of violent event that occurred in conjunction.

No, you couldn’t, because you haven’t understood either my prescription or my object. I’m not talking about employee discipline. I’m talking about putting an end to a corrupt organization and preventing its corruption from infecting other federal agencies. Quondam FBI agents can earn a living any way they care to and with any employer willing to hire them. What they cannot do is be one of the 2.4% of the workforce employed by the federal government, because they were a part of an organization which retained and promoted employees in accordance with their willingness to engage in chicanery or sit still while others did so.

Ah yes, the ever popular “my solution cannot POSSIBLY be used against me! Cut down all the laws of England to get at the Devil” response.
