It is an old technique. Get a critical mass of people in a county to hate Jews, Kulaks, what have you, attain political power partially on this hate, and the majority will not effectively oppose a politically dominant minority, often quite tiny in comparison to the population of a country, bent on mass murder. Higher education in this country is largely in thrall currently to those promoting seeing all of history through victimhood glasses, those having the victim tag being only certain select groups. If members of the victim group disagree with this analysis, so much the worse for them:
