Meanwhile, Back in Australia

You can push free peoples only so far, and then they will start to push back.  The lockdowns have zilch to do with health and everything with  governments in the West treating their people worse than serfs in the Middle Ages.  You are not truly free if your freedoms exist only until the government finds it convenient to take them away.  Covid is a pretext now, little more than that.

Oz: Founded as penal colony – reverting to penal colony.

For 18+ months, we have been victims of the uncontrolled spread of the totalitarian virus – China gain-of-function [financed by the US] variant.

God bless the good people of Australia and guide them and their overbearing political officials to peace and sanity.

The Premier of Victoria is a moron. But I’m sorry this was not a “protest”. It was an organised riot. It hospitalised 6 police officers where they had bottles and objects thrown at them, with 3 more receiving severe injuries. The participants were thugs who used Covid as an excuse for their violent behaviour. I can’t believe dishonest sections of the media are painting this as other wise. Normal, hardworking tax-paying individuals don’t participate in this thuggery. I feel sorry for those police officers who had to deal with this.

The governments of Australia, the UK and the US are becoming increasingly authoritarian as they use the COVID-19 pandemic to institute dictatorial control.

The other thing I find interesting is that Australia, the UK and the US have embarked on an agreement to provide Australia with eight nuclear fast attack submarines. Now remember: Australia has previously been vehemently anti-nuclear; that has changed. Indeed, the former deal ($35 billion to $63 billion now upwards of $90 billion due to cost overruns) with France to provide 12 conventional submarines has been trash canned by Canberra.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q00AAF-FMD4&t=304s

The French are pi$$ed and have recalled ambassadors (or envoys – I don’t know which) to the US and Australia, but NOT so much that they forbade a visit of the French nuclear fast attack submarine FNS Améthyste (S605) to the Naval Station Norfolk, VA last Thursday – a visit hosted by the Virginia-class nuclear fast-attack submarine USS John Warner (SSN 785).

https://www.facebook.com/SUBLANT/posts/5222301121120300

It’s all about the $$$$ – if France gets its money, then all will be well.

So……..we have the governments of the Anglosphere going totalitarian against their own people while preparing for a massive Naval war with communist China over Taiwan (which may be why the US bugged out of Afghanistan – to conserve military resources for the coming battle to keep Taiwan independent).

This looks more and more like the morphing of Anglosphere “democracies” into an Empire.

PS, all this is worthy of discussion separate from the CIVID-19 crackdowns. I highly recommend keeping up with USNI News:

@Ezabelle, Well if Australia stopped trying to imprison people in their own homes those “Normal, hardworking tax-paying individuals” might not have felt the need to do something about it.

It’s been a while coming LQC because for China, Australia holds a perfect strategic position for them in the Pacific as well as a country they can exploit for their own gain because of the abundance of natural resources and food production. China is Australia’s biggest trading partner and there has been Chinese backlash against Australian exports to China for a while now because of the federal governments resistance to sign up to China’s BRI initiative (except for the leftie Moron Premiere Dan Andrews of Victoria which has locked down the State 7 times now- which PM tore up), as well as political clashes.

https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/12/18/australia-china-trade-disputes-in-2020.html

Australia also questioned Chinas complicity in the China-virus as biological ware fare. Who else has?

The PM is now looking to tear up a 99 year lease on Port of Darwin by a Chinese company because it’s a strategic military base for China (which China deny)

https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.news.com.au/technology/innovation/australian-port-at-centre-of-beijing-furore/news-story/2aa1ca4b22735dfdbea2d2a36091250d%3famp

This is on top of China’s attempt at buying up of big scale farms and food production facilities such as Dairy farms to export back to China fuelled by the distrust of Chinese government such as the baby-death formula scare in 2008- exporting quality dairy to China produced on Australian soil and giving Australians the scraps. The Chinese have bought up everything in Australia from land, to farms to University spots for their children. Australians don’t want it. It’s disastrous if it continues. Morrison finally woke up! The US, UK Australian Nuclear Submarine deal is welcome. You have to give Biden his due credit on this one, as much as it pains.

I’ve been coming and going to finish an office fitout for my husband business relocation daily, as well as homeschooling children and grabbing my morning takeaway coffee from the coffee shop. I’ve gone to garden centre to buy seedlings. My husband picks up groceries weekly. The kids are at the park daily. Infact just this morning I walked past yoga and Pilates classes in outdoor tent outside our office. We are not in imprisoned in NSW. Berejiklian “locked” the State down once for 1 school term. The kids go back in a month. Certain LGA had 9pm curfews and we employ 3 from those LGA who easily had a permit to come to work. She did it once- and is not going to do it again because she knows she won’t have a job come next election. The government is subsidising wages during this time.

SA has had a few weeks of lockdown here and there.

WA isn’t locked.

QLD a few weeks here and there.

Tasmania a few weeks here and there.

Canberra a month.

Victoria has locked down 7 times! You are seeing pictures from Victoria which doesn’t illustrate the entire country.

Just because the media is showing one terrible version of something it doesn’t mean it’s rife. The Victorian Premier is Labor and as left as you can get.

I’d rather be honest than play into a dishonest, exaggerated narrative.

@Ezabelle:

Thank you for the background information – very valuable. In the upcoming war (and there will be a war – si vis pacem, para bellum), Russia will very likely join China against the US, UK, Australia, Japan and South Korea because of its offense over EU & US opposition to its policies on and aggression against Ukraine. Russia’s new Belgorod nuclear submarine with its Poseidon nuclear armed, nuclear propelled torpedo is a fearsome and apocalyptic weapon system. Aaron Amick, a retired sonar technician from the US Nuclear Navy, explains these things best (but his language is often that of a very salty sailor quite offensive delicate sanctimonious ears):

There is so much to talk about here that goes well beyond the topic of this post, so I have to stop before Donald boots me off. 😉 Nevertheless, I fear that focusing on just one topic like COVID-19 (Donald doesn’t do that, however) can become a myopic distraction from all the other things happening. I hope Donald does a piece on China, Russia, Taiwan, Ukraine, hypersonic weapons, nuclear propelled torpedoes and missiles (yes, Russia is trying an effort that the US abandoned in the 60s), new aircraft carriers, etc. Hint, hint, hint. 😀

PS, the Ferengi 34th and 35th Rules for Acquisition on Star Trek come to mind:

War is good for business.
Peace is good for business.

Like COVID-19 and the pharmaceutical companies, it’s all about the $$$$$$.

All good points, Ezabelle.

Here in post-Constitution/rump America, the dictators’ diktats went into many additional areas besides lock downs. Among other things, they somehow found somewhere that the US CDC has plenary authority to, among other things, order a national moratorium on evictions of renters that didn’t pay rent – despite $6 trillion in China virus hush money payments. The list is very long.

Worst, they used it to steal the 2020 elections.

Likely, locked away in Fauci’s favorite Wuhan CCP bio-weapons lab is a vial of US/CDC funded gain-of-function pandemic syrup marked “Open December 2023.”

Regarding T. Shaw’s immediate point above, hard to believe that after currying favor with the Chicoms, we are now preparing for war. I wonder if the Chicom efforts to get Biden installed over Trump being elected are now resulting in buyer’s remorse. Maybe this is all about establishing a planetary dictatorship, and there isn’t room for two big boys on the block. Heck, I don’t know and am so confused. While we know Christ wins in the end, the immediate future looks very bleak.

What’s distressing is that (in contrast to the United States), the provincial governments abusing their publics are commonly run by supposedly starboard parties.

It’s been known almost from the beginning who is at risk and who is not and it’s been known for over a year that the medium of transmission is indoor air. You’d have to scrounge to find a menu of COVID restrictions inspired by these two observations.

(which may be why the US bugged out of Afghanistan – to conserve military resources for the coming battle to keep Taiwan independent).

Less than 1% of our military manpower was to be found in Afghanistan and 0% of our naval forces.

I’m sympathetic to the dilemmas police officers face. I think we’ve reached the point where police forces need to respond with double-dealing and passive non-compliance when told to do vicious things. Just head for the doughnut shop and leave decent people alone.

EZABELLE,

Completely disagree.

A totalitarian state brings this upon themselves. The commander crying about the protests is part of the problem. Both the premier & the commander need to resign ASAP.

I too hope the Premiere of Victoria Daniel Andrews who is a poster boy for the left resigns immediately Tito! And not just over a protest. He has locked that State down for months on end since last year, time after time. He isn’t called “Chairman Dan” for nothing. As a side note, Daniel Andrews was hospitalised earlier this year with an “injured” back because he “slipped” at home in a freak accident. However, rumour has been going around that a Union official pushed him because he has gone rogue and has exercised his powers to the point of falling out with workers and the Union bosses. He won’t be here next election. And concur, All good point LQC, T Shaw and Art. Follow the money for the $$$ jabs, China opportunistic in all of this and complete over reaction by governments abuse of power in the hands of the wrong people. I’m also interested to see more on this US, UK Australia deal. I wish Trump was in the drivers seat though.
