Figures

Further evidence, if any were needed, that contemporary atheism is a religion, an aggressive and intolerant one.

Ah now the tweet appears.

Identifying as “spiritual”… In a recent episode of the Lord of Spirits podcast, the fathers in their conclusion expressed the idea (and I apologize for butchering it as the transcript isn’t up yet) that if you want to find God, find the spiritual – then go do something for another person. Smile at someone feeling down. Talk to (and more importantly listen to) someone going through troubles. Too many try to find God “out there” but it is Humanity which bears His image, and in our neighbor is where we’ll find Him.

Atheism is exactly where our social justice “Pope and Vatican II are leading us: doing good deeds without God’s help, i.e., do-gooder.

I’m going the slightly contrary route: better an open and honest atheist than a functional one who wears the flayed skinsuit of a religious organization.

As to the the “good without God” project, it will disintegrate like a toilet paper windshield–at least to the extent it speaks contrary to the zeitgeist. And when it’s aping the zeitgeist, no one will bother with it.

But all of that is still far better than having someone do the the latter in the name of God–which is all official chaplains at elite institutions do these days.

The only good atheist is a dead atheist.

I think it’s an upraised middle finger at a portion of the student body (and a smaller share of the employees). They’re usually subtler about it. What Michael Kelly said 22 years ago applies: “We have achieved the classless society; no one has any class at all”.

In a world where a transgender woman wins Miss America, a chaplain leader at Harvard is atheist, the only logical next step is a dementia patient as POTUS.

All is right in the world.

[I thank God I’m not of the world.]

Miss Nevada becomes first man to be in the running for Miss America.

I apologize for my inaccurate description of the winner of Miss America. He hasn’t won…yet.

Secular paganism. We don’t believe in any religion, so any religion will do.

Don

A Question..

Does the first amendment prohibit establishing Atheisms, Secularism, Agnosticism, and such as a religion?

I hope so, or we’re in big trouble.

“….Atheisms, Secularism, Agnosticism, and such as a religion?”

– and as our host indicates, discussion is ongoing

There is no such thing as a lasting so-called faith, without belief in and worship of God. Putting or Faith and belief in mankind – good deeds and thoughts- will eventually lead to disappointment thanks to our first parents Adam and Eve. Humans are riddled with errors and faults no matter how well intended we are. However, Faith and Trust in our Lord will NEVER disappoint. Because God is Perfect, All-knowing and most importantly All-lovng. There is no agenda behind Gods love for us except that He wants to see us in Heaven with Him where we belong. Good deeds and loving one another is a means to God, but Love and worship of our Creator should be our goal. And we need to give our God that respect and acknowledgment as His children.
So thinking of Faith in these terms- What a ridiculous thing for Harvard to do. At least a Protestant Chaplain, or another Chaplain from a Christian denomination who acknowledges Our Lord when they speak to students.. The US is a Christian nation! And Surely there’s a Catholic Priest you can go to and a Chapel for prayer somewhere on that massive Campus….
