Did you catch this? Note, the authors of this absurdity (in two sets of judicial opinions) include John Roberts (Bush the Younger appointee), Brett Kavanaugh (Trump appointee), and Dabney Friedrich (Trump appointee).
Can someone explain to me how the eviction moratorium is supposed to work? Since when do state judges or local sheriffs take orders from the Centers for Disease Control?

Public safety/security is the “go-to” alibi of tyrants.
Like much else since say March or April 2020, the so-called eviction moratorium is illegal, totalitarian, and unconstitutional..
Two take-aways.
One, everything that they said and did about the china virus that wasn’t an outright lie meant to steal our freedom was completely wrong. Evidently, they don’t know [expletive-deleted] from shinola about the China virus. We have the lying blind [expletive-deleted] with unlimited power leading us into a deep national ditch.
Two, if they can take [without due process] landlords’ revenues, they also can take your assets. My youngest son is convinced that his generation will have whatever they own over a certain level confiscated by the state. See the academic economist/idiot swine constantly squealing about ‘income inequality’ – the next big lie based on imaginary metrics.
Briefly, in 2020 and early 2021, each American under a certain income level received $3,200 [March 2020: $1,200; December 2020: $600; January 2021 $1,400]; plus $300 weekly [many taking home more $$$ than when they were working] added unemployment insurance payments; plus financial assistance in paying for ACA; plus now they’re getting $300 a month per child; plus etc. Why didn’t they pay their rents? Rib-Eye Steaks instead of chuck chopped? AMC and Robin Hood stocks on sale??? .
Former FDIC Chair Sheila Bair has an article in this week’s Barron’s stating that only $3(?) billion of $34 or $38 (?) billion renters’ China virus lockout hush rent money ever got out to renters that likely really didn’t need anyhow.
