Bravo Bee! Imagine is a wretched song, but John Lennon never quite fit the Leftist mode. Towards his abbreviated life he seemed to regret the fact that he had often been used by Leftists. If he were still alive he would only be 81 this year. I can easily imagine him speaking out now against Cancel Culture as his son has, if fate had been kinder to him.
The breed today think they are rebelling against the institution which was the ethos which John Lennon and co. lived by. But to their ignorance the breed of today are the actually the pawns for the institution they think they are rebelling against. I’m essence- try hards with no substance.
Imagine is the hymn of the modern Left. I remember it being sung in schools when my kids were in public school. Though I would say the lyrics are wretched. I’ve always thought the actual music was pretty.
With that said, Mr. Lennon has missed the bus on that. Young generations have long been convinced that slavery and conquest and even human sacrifice were no big deal, as long as non-Western, non-Christian, non-American cultures were involved.
Tangential to the topic, did you catch this:

This Dr. Hotez is the issue of Rockefeller University, btw. So much cultural gangrene in this country.
Ezabelle, sooo right they’re not rebelling against “the man”, they are useful idiots of “the man” in control of the admin-state, media, academy and academia….
” they are useful idiots of “the man” in control of the admin-state, media, academy and academia….”
I’ve always had the impression that even back in the 60s during the big youth rebellion, those youth rebels were encouraged to buck the system by the system; to challenge the man because the man wanted it that way. .
A little factual correction: modern Egyptologists have determined the pyramids were built by farm laborers conscripted in the off-season when their fields were flooded, and that they had rather decent pay and working conditions for the times.
They didn’t determine it, that is the current favored theory, pushed with many elbows aimed at the “so it couldn’t have been the Hebrews in Egypt.”
The issue that there isn’t actually a contradiction between “field worker conscripted while the fields are flooded” and “slaves who work in the field or on the pyramids depending on if the fields are flooded” is a notable problem with said elbows, especially when forced labor is forced labor….
Egyptologists have to put some work into assembling reliable chronologies of kings. Primary data about Egyptian society is … weak
applauds
That is the most diplomatic phrasing of the issue I’ve ever seen. 😀
“…torn down immediately.” Funny. I remember that ISIS (ironically, for Egypt), said much the same thing.” Ah, well. Everything that descends must converge.
“Land o’Goshen!!” A great old fashioned expression of surprise 🤪that part of Egypt is where those farmer Hebrews did so well, and flourished to the point that pharaoh who did not remember Joseph worried about their ascendancy.
