I have believed for some time, the left isn’t as much about the “right” to kill their babies as much as they are about the right to pressure poor and colored women to kill theirs.
I was pro-abortion for that reason: keep the welfare roles as low as possible saves the tax payers money. And yes, people (some anyway) do decide to get married or not, or have children, or not, based on what welfare programs are currently offering. I experienced this in college. A classmate openly admitted she and her husband (boyfriend??) were having a baby because they could get more welfare dollars (this was nearly thirty years ago).

I suspect the Covid response has more to do with “preserving” Medicaid/Medicare dollars than saving actual lives.

Although this article is not about Covid, it does hint at what may be going on. Interesting SC2 tends to attack the elderly and medically frail–people who generally consume more health care and gov’t resources–than the young and still-working (or potentially able to work) who pay into the system.

DJH, I too have long thought that this covid deal was indeed created (or conveniently utilized) for the purpose of eliminating costly elders. Certainly the Cuomo Care Campaign did just that, and the left’s penchant for euthanasia is a similar game.
Remember, elders generate death taxes which they just upped and the scoundrel’s tend to be conservative voters as well as daring to have faith in our Creator who can only be infinite competition to the Marxist gov’t gods.
