Outrageous.
Have the courts declared the DOD’s “work-around” of using a private company legal, or is this still something that could be challenged in a court?
Interesting how the supposedly “Worse than Hitler” Trump never proposed doing something like this…
Have the courts declared the DOD’s “work-around” of using a private company legal, or is this still something that could be challenged in a court?
Endless legal challenges to this. It basically is a perpetual bill of rights shredding machine.
If the Junta wished not only to foment civil unrest, but to ensure the existence of a large and well-trained armed force ready to oppose the state, what would they do differently?
Blind fools sum them up Frank.
When they say ‘extremist behavior’, recall that the U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia (in cahoots with a federal judge) has decided that (1) suspected trespassing and disorderly conduct merits indefinite pre-trial detention and (2) that a civilian doing nothing other than standing behind a glass door with a broken pane can be summarily killed without penalty for the police officer in question. If the person in question is an ‘extremist’. It has been the view of the FBI that a Bernie Sanders votary putting bullets into six Republican employed by the U.S. Congress and nearly killing the House Minority whip is ‘suicide-by-cop’. It has been determined by the public prosecutors in an array of blue cities that disorderly conduct, vandalism, harassment, assault, and arson does not merit prosecution if you’re not an ‘extremist’. By ‘extremist’ they mean the lot of us.
Note, they’ll get away with this, just as Amazon Web Services got away with unilaterally abrogating a contract with Parler, if they draw as their judge one of the Democratic Party’s lawfare-artists-in-robes. IIRC, not one Democratic appointee on the DC Circuit ruled in favor of a writ of mandamus to the madcap Emmett Sullivan. That’ll tell you what % of Democratic appointees on the federal bench should be trusted by decent people.
You know, Victor Navasky’s signature over the years has been books and articles on how repressive was ‘the McCarthy period’. He’s still alive and only semi-retired. Anything to say, Victor? I’m waiting for someone who sends political bilge over our Fakebook wall to comment on these travesties. So far the only remark antagonistic to all this was from my Bernie bro cousin in Alliance, Ohio. He hates cops, and doesn’t make an exception for Ashli Babbitt’s executioner. (My Bernie Bro cousins’ posts, interestingly enough, are seldom political. Family life, job searches, music (his taste is godawful), &c). As for the rest of them, crickets. (Oh, we did get an inquiry from the Dunker punk clergyman we know about ‘genocide of the Palestinians’. The Dunkers are really scraping for their clergy).
Comment of the week Art! Take ‘er away Sam!
