Correct Art. Some of the wiser Democrats can see the iceberg they are heading towards in 2022 but they are not being heeded.

China now has ownership in large parts of Africa (think mining), the Pacific Islands (think airports and ports), SE Asia, and is vying for Latin America and the Middle East- infact they are trying to pour money into rebuilding Beirut after the explosion because the country is beyond broke. A strategic move next door to Israel.
Not sure about Europe.
The US really needs to stop Chinese immigration. It’s the immigrants who buy up property and businesses and invest into national assets and consequently weaken the core nations ideals. And they also do it through their children “studying” as International students- which is probably not such a problem now because of Covid. Learn from Australia’s mistakes.
EZABELLE I think part of what you are talking about is China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Italy is part of this program
I guess no surprise about Italy since they’re broke. I know that China is lobbying countries which are economically vulnerable to “invest” into.
