Seems pretty clear that the media and politicians are working together with Antifa to generate a “right wing extremist” attack (though I don’t think that the cooperation is explicit, rather they are using each other for their common benefit).
Antifa moves in, local police let them do whatever they want (usually because the DA refuses to prosecute his political allies). Media remains silent about Antifa’s actions (and if the damage is extreme enough that they have to say something, they’ll try to blame it on white supremacists). Given free reign Antifa continually ups the ante to the point where anyone present is in danger of getting killed.
Eventually someone defends himself with lethal force. When this happens you will see the Antifa goons immediately slink back into the crowd, law enforcement will roll in and make no attempt to arrest any Antifa agents but will be sure to arrest the guy who defended himself, the DA will prosecute him for murder and hate crimes and the media will suddenly be ablaze with stories about the “unprovoked” attack motivated by “virulent racist hatred.”
If you are in a situation where you have to defend yourself, obviously do it. The maxim of “better judged by 12 than carried by 6” still holds true. But the best way to avoid playing into their hands is simply not to be present. Since Antifa is not under the direct control of anyone, they are merely useful idiots, if they are left to their own devices they will attack their own and it will be difficult for the media and corrupt DAs to construct a counter narrative. But the second anyone attacks Antifa, even if it is completely justified, they will all immediately double down on the white supremacist narrative.
