My opinion is that relatively few Catholics are sensitive to what is happening to the Church recently. Last week at weekday Mass the deacon decried the impact Covid had on Mass attendance and hoped more folks would return since the Bishop has canceled the Covid Mass dispensation and moderated the social distance from 6 to 3ft. But masks still required. Good luck with all that.
Of course, nobody at morning Mass needed any of this. What they needed was some truth that the Church was complicit with the government on this fear inducing mind control experiment. A Fr. Altman type homily was needed. The truth is refreshing. If Catholics heard the truth about the world and Catholicism they would respond. And bad responses are good. Jesus knows that bad responses mean a good job.
The Church will go underground in China. Worrying times. It reminds me of the Scorsese movie “Silence” (I’m not sure how historically accurate it is). However, the clear message was that nothing has the power to suppress true fidelity and Faith in Christ. No matter the cost. Even to the very end, the Japanese Faithful held onto their love of Our Lord, even if outwardly they may have appeared to have appeased the rulers . I pray that this is the same for the true Chinese Faithful. We are so Blessed to have the ability to freely and openly worship and yet many of us take it for granted and choose not to.

The Catholic Church is under ground as well as the CCP above ground (c) atholic church.
The Holy Spirit is alive and well in the hearts and minds of fearless Christians in China.
Pope Francis’ secret deal?
All I can say is that the responsibility for Gods children and their well being is a colossal one for the Pope.
As a parent, God parent, religious ed. teacher and practicing Catholic…our responsibilities to our neighbors regarding passing on the Faith is important as well.
