The idiots who hired him knew all about his social media posts. They just didn’t anticipate the push back from the troops. Ambitious field and flag officers will eat ground glass to get a promotion. Not so much the troops on the sharp end of the stick who may well die from the pc idiocy being pushed by their inferior superiors.

Those at the tip of the spear, tend to be the most conservative, but also take the most risk and have the longest and most frequent deployments.
Push back may be difficult when having “the wrong opinion” can label one as an “extremist”. The only option may be to separate from the military; and for those with many years invested in a pension this is a difficult decision. The enlisted will likely need to finish a contract then decline to re-enlist. Those with a first enlistment can be recalled for up to 6 years from the time of the initial enlistment. Many infantry Marines who had declined to re-enlist after finishing a first enlistment were brought back into service and deployed to Iraq.
When still in the military but on my last deployment I spoke with a 1st Sargent (E-8) who was not re-enlisting after 18 years of service. I asked him about losing a pension that he would qualify for in just 2 more years. He told me that he had done three 18 month deployments and staying another 2 years would require another deployment. He had witnessed several friends who were killed or severely disabled doing one last deployment before retiring and he decided that a pension wasn’t worth the risk.
I don’t think that the current administration is smart enough to see the damage that they may do to the volunteer military.

I agree the China occupation junta likely is ‘that’ stupid. OTOH, it may be part of the plan. The PLA wants every advantage it can gain.

The left doesn’t understand that job satisfaction, patriotism, knowledge that as an individual one is valued, can be more important that money. Big Brother’s idea of snitching on each other is very dangerous. It will seriously hamper our warfare capabilties. When you can’t trust your team or your shipmates, “band of brothers” ceases to exist.

It is my opinion that the current administration does not care what they do to the military. The Left’s political objective is to weaken & destroy America-as founded. In order to do that, the military must be destroyed as it has always existed. I think their actions are intentional & deliberate.

People will sacrifice their lives for other people–as we have a plethora of examples from the military–when they believe the other people to be of value. We will not sacrifice our lives & limbs for people we do not value. The political Left/Socialists/Anarchists/Communists, with their atheistic basis of reasoning, do not value others or even themselves in the same way our traditional values and faith in God teaches us to value people. People who are made in the image of God and reflect some of His glory, no matter how imperfectly, in their service to Him are of untold value because of their Creator’s value. People who exist to serve the state are strictly replaceable. I believe this is at the very root of the Left’s determined and relentless destruction of traditional faith, morals, and values in our society at large and particularly in our military.
