Granny Killer Whitmer

Interesting that states with Democrat governors were the ones where nursing homes were forced to accept Covid-19 patients.

Once you celebrate abortion, it seems that callousness as to innocent human life swiftly infects other policies.

Our home, in Michigan, designated an entire sister home for Covid patients. We moved all healthy patients into other homes to accommodate the unhealthy ones.

This formula worked well.
We only had three residents that needed to be taken to our Covid house. All three survived Covid and returned home.

Not every nursing home in Michigan was as prepared to handle the crisis and yes, Governor W. didn’t think her procedures well through.

God be with our elderly.

The explanation that’s been offered of Cuomo’s behavior was that (1) the culture of the Democratic Party is such that his base would object if he accepted useful assistance from people they hate (e.g. Trump and Samaritan’s Purse) and (2) New York’s hospitals are run by people who are important campaign donors, and they get what they want from the Governor. Given the usual dynamics you observe in the Democratic Party, it wouldn’t surprise me if the same considerations were influencing her.

I have the impression that Whitmer is more agreeable on a mundane basis than is Cuomo, who is just a monster. That having been said, both are the issue of the Democratic Party nomenklatura in their respective states, both are notional lawyers, having spent little time as working attorneys (< 2 years in each case). Whitmer was in elected office from age 29. Cuomo was parked for 15 years in public sector positions and dependent NGOs all organized around crooked and useless state manipulation of housing markets (“awardable housing” Mr. Sailer calls it). He’s been in elected office for 14 years. There was an interregnum in between that’s a blank, but I’ll wager you he had a berth in a law firm with a ‘government relations’ practice. You just get so sick of these people.

Note what none of our politicians and public health ‘experts’ did, which was organize services which would provide for protection of populations at risk. Instead, they institute lockdown policies (in contravention of precedent) that we now know were ultimately useless in any venue where the virus was already established and could not be excluded through control of entry and exit and which did not differentiate those vulnerable to a lethal illness and those who were at most vulnerable to a nasty respiratory infection. It was evident by April that we could reopen the schools if we furloughed their older and fatter employees. It was evident we could re-open every kind of establishment as long as their was a sign on the door which said “no patrons over 50; no exceptions”. Have you seen any such signs?

And, of course, it’s not difficult to identify the favoritism and patronage distribution incorporated into the decisions of every Democratic pol. It all makes you wanna holler.

This has been known for months, how these abortion loving Democrat governors placed so many elderly in harm’s way during a pandemic . Since the media wouldn’t report it, then it was up to Trump and his team to communicate the truth and the facts to voters. It would have been great for him to mention it at the first debate, to tag democrats as the party of death, but I dont recall Trump mentioning it .

Sadly, there is no vaccine against those forms of the liberal’s virus.

Michael C. So it’s Trump’s fault again?

DonL, in fairness, I did not see that comment as saying anything was Trump’s fault, but rather questioning why the nursing home murders were left untouched by the Trump campaign and by DJT himself in the pretend debates. I wondered about that myself at the time, and still do. Hindsight is what it is, but I hope Trump and other possible candidates in 2022 and 2024 learn from it. We’re going to need very strong campaigns to defeat the fraud, if that is even possible.

“…and so reduce the surplus population.” Evil.
