Life Lessons From Babylon 5: Vice President Harris, is That You?
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 41 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
I only saw the first season of Babylon 5 when it first aired, and I remember little. This scene I remember. Whenever the subject of vaccines being cultured in the cells from a fetus comes up, I remember again.
I am curious to know what you think of the theory that President Biden is a mere puppet and that Vice President Harris is, for all effect and purpose, the President, Mr. McClarey. Among the many pieces of evidence to consider is that VP Harris has been far more active in U.S. foreign affairs than I think is common and the President hasn’t had the sort of public presence that lends confidence that he’s competent.
I’ve been curious about the messaging, legislative prerogatives, and Executive Orders too, not because they look to be other than his agenda; though, that is true too. Rather, I note that the White House’s actions lack any consistency or central theme. It feels like something of a Progressive fire sale in which every group which wants anything writes it up and it is approved of. There are only two exceptions to that rule that I can see: Immigration reform and student loan debt. Only on those two things is there a seemingly hard line.
So, I am most curious to hear what you and the other folks here think of this. Do we have an actual Biden Administration, a Manchurean Candidate situation, or something else entirely?
D.S: my personal thought is that Biden is a puppet, but so is Harris.
.
Not entirely sure who is running the show. Nancy Pelosi? Schumer?
Mr. Spaulding, for what it’s worth, my guess is that there is what amounts to a Junta running the White House right now, possibly with internal power struggles ongoing. Jill Biden must be a player. As for who are the other members, I can speculate but have no real facts. Regarding Harris, given her track record, I don’t believe she is in charge of anything. The real question may be whether someone unelected is giving orders. If so, is it Obama, who many sources claim has been behind everything done by the Democrats since Trump won the nomination? Is it someone that Obama himself is serving, as many others have claimed? Certainly, the shadowy “man/men/people behind the curtain” theory has a certain attraction as being able to explain a lot. At the same time, it may be oversimplification, not to mention unrealistic to expect that such a coordinated secret group could exist for very long without being discovered. I just don’t know. So much of what we believed about our world has been shown to be fraudulent or worse, that I no longer believe anything except our Faith and what is proffered by the few remaining people I think I can still trust. The rest is all up for grabs.

Biden is an unknowing puppet since he is so out of it that I assume on bad days he probably isn’t sure he is president. Harris is a stalking horse for those pulling the strings behind the scenes. She has no political base of her own and is completely in the pocket of the powerful forces who got Biden the nomination.
What’s the benefit of a theory that can’t be proven one way or the other, and doesn’t give you any meaningful plan of action?
Thank you for weighing in, folks. Your words are grist for the mill. To be sure, we lack information on which to base any confident assessment; yet, it is perhaps in human nature to attempt to make sense of the world, even without perfect knowledge. “Why might that be” is a legitimate question, even if we haven’t any way to answer it in the here and now.
I have two concerns about speculation. One, that we invest too much in our theories, treating them as if they were facts; and two, that speculating about the power behind the throne doesn’t seem conducive to healthy thinking.
Speculating on the inner workings of the deep state/media complex is like speculating on the specific hierarchy of demons. It suffices to know that they are liars and to find out how to fight them.
My view is that it is normal to inquire and natural to seek patterns which might explain it. The danger is in assuming we’re right, in being tied to a conclusion, rather than fully open to new information and alternative analyses.
As applied here, we have a number of anomalies, all of which matter on their own. We should note them. We can’t help but ask why. It is quite natural to seek an explanation which makes the anomalies intelligible. We just have to recognize that we might be entirely incorrect and open to that possibility.
I don’t see any harm if approached rationally.
I would assume things are being orchestrated by the chief of staff, Klain. Dr. Jill’s task is to handle her husband. Another figure is the deputy chief of staff, who was his campaign manager. Her name is Dillon; she actually once worked for Scott Harshberger, the evil clown who gave you the Fells Acres disaster in Massachusetts. Klain has another deputy who is a Clinton alum. I’m guessing Austin, Yellen, and Garland are autonomous figures.
