I’m afraid nothing can top the double-digit population of investigators sent to look into Bubba Wallace’s garage-door pull. There must be some serious people employed as agents. I do wish they’d set up a group blog like Second City Cop to delineate to the world how their manpower is being misused.
I heard that. I thought it was a joke. How would they even guess? Did the dognappers leave a card or something? The only story I heard about this said they hadn’t identified the culprits. What would even make them think such a thing?

Now the FBI is denying involvement.
If Lady Gaga (or her publicity person) sent in a claim that it was politically motivated, they’re required to investigate.
Usually, that means asking “is there any reason at all to believe this?”
And when the answer is no, they close the case.
I’ve seen this trick used in stuff like GamerGate– where they filed police reports about rape-threats, then complained the cops were slow-rolling the investigation.
