Jobs, Jobs, Jobs

News that I missed, courtesy of The Babylon Bee:

President Biden is doing a great job getting rid of evil sources of energy like coal and gas, and replacing them with good energy– like wind, solar, and baby unicorn whispers. Unfortunately, it seems that some of you may have lost your jobs as a result. Never fear! Biden has promised to replace your jobs with much better jobs that don’t make Mother Gaia cry.

Here are 9 exciting new opportunities for laid-off oil and gas workers:

#1 Installing urinals in girls’ bathrooms – There are over 120 million buildings in the US. That’s 120 million girls’ bathrooms that will need a new urinal installed for the sake of equality. Not bad!

#2 Trumpet boy for Biden’s royal decrees – Biden’s executive orders just seem a little more special with a trumpet boy out front heralding the coming of a new decree! Whitehouse.gov recently posted an opening for this position. Get on it!

#3 Elementary school teacher in Chicago – There’s nothing nobler than working for the education of a child. Well– we don’t mean work, we mean get paid by the government just for existing. Not a bad gig.

#4 Carry buckets of oil up and down the Continental United States on foot – The Keystone XL pipeline may be gone, but that oil has to get to its destination somehow, Jack! There are thousands of new positions opening up for people to carry oil across the country, balanced on their heads, like tribal natives after fetching water at the village well. Start practicing now!

#5 Take that job at McDonald’s –  Might as well. At this rate, the minimum wage will be $45 an hour by the years’ end.

#6 Open a GameStop – It’s the wave of the future!

#7 Go back in time and buy bitcoin – Just do it. Get off your butt, build a time machine, and buy some Bitcoin in 2009. Accomplish something for once!

#8 Replace all your body parts with cyborg implants and become an Amazon drone – Helicopter arms!!! Literally no downside to this.

#9 Become a youth pastor – Hardly any work required.

Go here to read the rest.  Bee, Bee, the Puppetmasters’ administration has a jobs plan.  Once Civil War II begins they plan to bring back the draft.  With that and being concentration camp guards, full employment for these workers beckon.  Or, if that doesn’t work, out they can learn to code.  In any case the people of the Puppetmasters’ administration have jobs, so as far as they are concerned the problem of jobs has been licked.

At War With The American People.

In other news, Chinese Joe declared a National Emergency relative to the CLIMATE CATASTROPHE, immediately exercised his omnipotence to name himself god and appoint his dogs Senators so that he can EXPEDITIOUSLY foist on us Xi Jinping’s dolorous dream for America.

Massive, enemy forces brazenly stole the elections and are aligned to destroy oil and gas and the US economy; and replace them with their sunbeams and unicorn farts and idiot academics’ socialist dystopia – see Venezuela, once the most prosperous nation in Latin America. .

We’ll shiver in Winter and swelter in Summer and many will starve. They don’t care. The back room billionaires are getting even richer and they’re sticking it to we the people.

Wall Street is “all-in” on the ‘great reset’ stocks – EVs and the other green graft scams

With their control of public education and the media, they’ve created a mass of idiots that believe the implausible.

Every thing the Dems and left believes on climate is a hoax and a lie and is meant to enrich green graft entrepreneurs and impoverish Americans.

A HYPOTHETICAL STORY

Let us assume that there was a nuclear startup company with a passively safe reactor design that a decade ago or so went through financially hard times. Let us also assume that there was a certain large fossil fuel company that earned great profit off natural gas but saw the writing on the wall and wanted to eventually de-carbonize itself. So, it learned of this small nuclear startup company’s design and, liking the startup company’s plans, it injected much needed cash flow to balance the books, thus rescuing the company and saving many high-paying jobs.

Eventually, six years later Donald Trump, a pro-energy enthusiast, was elected. He favored all kinds of energy quite indiscriminately, his goal being to lower prices for the American consumer. Seeing what this large fossil energy company was doing to diversify its portfolio, he ordered the US DOE to provide matching funding – every dollar the fossil fuel giant injected into the transition to nuclear would be met with a matching DOE dollar. Now Trump could care less if the energy source were nuclear or methane. All Trump wanted to do was make things better for the average American electricity consumer (that’s all of us).

Then in 2020 the Democrats cheated on the Presidential election and the Biden / Harris team was fraudulently installed on Jan 21st. All enamored with the fiction of anthropogenic global warming, the new Administration immediately killed methane pipelines, rescinded permits for gas and oil drilling, and otherwise acted to constrict fossil fuel supply, thereby raising prices for the consumer and putting workers out of employment. The profits that this hypothetical fossil fuel company had been using to finance its decarbonization by a transition to nuclear subsequently evaporate. Thus, funding for the nuclear startup company dried up, especially since the COVID-19 crisis prevented new investment from other private industry sources (e.g., banks, utilities, foreign conglomerates, etc.). As a result, the nuclear startup company implements layoffs to preserve financial solvency. And the spiral begins – less people, less work, less financing. The greatest irony, though, is this: the nuclear startup company is intractably biased towards liberal progressivism – the Democrat Party – because that is the corporate thing to do nowadays. That company is reaping what it has sown. But the executives have their golden parachutes while “the workers can install urinals in girl’s bathrooms under the Biden Administration.”

Such a nuclear startup company could be Terrestrial Power, Thorcon, Transatomic, General Fusion, etc. – any, indeed all, the nuclear startups financed by US DOE. Oh, but I do know which startup company this is. You don’t need to know because when your local nuke plant shuts down and your lights go out, it’ll be yours. Just think about Illinois’ Byron and Dresden nukes shutting down, and NY’s Indian Point nukes too – 5 gigawatts of carbon-free electricity gone forever, all in Democrat states – yeah, the Democrats really care about carbon emission, my fat gluteus maximus! However, the point is irrelevant to what company is affected: a Democrat in power will always act to constrict energy supply so that people remain dependent on government. While the Democrats will tout the non-existent “value” of solar and wind, this is disinformation and propaganda since the constant variability of so-called renewable energy results in capacity factors often less than 30% and nothing like nuclear energy’s more than 92% capacity factor. Just look at the German government’s recent proposal for electricity rationing as it de-nuked itself and shut down its coal fired power plants, relying only on useless, worthless wind and solar. If you believe in renewable energy, then you’re a freaking idiot and you deserve to freeze in the dark. In the meantime, that fossil fuel company we were talking about? Well, it has been kicked in the groin and its transition to de-carbonize itself – the ostensible goal of the Biden Administration – may now never be realized.

Buckle up, folks. As my priest Father Kirby has repeatedly stated in his recent sermons, the punishment is just beginning.

PS, for the record, I also agree w/ T. Shaw. Just saying.

The WaPo fact checker Glenn Kessler did a recent article titled “Kerry’s misleading framing of potential solar and wind jobs” where he showed that solar and wind jobs could not replace coal jobs and that the green jobs don’t pay as well.
