A career soldier in Vietnam, he was martyred for the Faith in 1835. He could have saved his life by renouncing Christ, but stoutly refused. He died at age 27 by beheading, with his mother kneeling by the headman’s block to catch her son’s severed head. One of a galaxy of Vietnamese martyrs who will one day be venerated in a free Vietnam.
