THIS ARTICLE about outlawing abortion in the case of a Down Syndrome diagnosis, or because of the race or gender of a fetus got me thinking…
What if science developed a way to detect homosexual tenancies in a fetus? This would include bisexuality as well as the latent potency for a future transgender individual. Now suppose the parents of the unborn began to demand these tests and upon confirming a positive result, chose to abort these future gay/trans. people at a near 100% rate. How would those who are both pro-choice and pro LGBTQ “rights” react?
Would they still proudly applaud these women who are exercising their universal “right” to choose??? Or would they take pause and possibly consider for the first time that an injustice is occurring right under their noses…and it’s of their own making.
I wonder…
Interestingly, this theme has been used as a plot device in X-Men comics. A genetic test would reveal if a fetus would be a mutant. The X-Men were completely opposed to such tests for just the same reason that this though experiment suggests. Most comics writers are virulent liberals so this story line did not translate into a Pro-Life allegory.
This What If has been broached before. If as the LBGT lobbies claim that their particular orientation is not a choice; they are born with it by inheritance, a chemical imbalance or whatever, then it’s only a matter of time before scientists locate the orientation gene. You know, follow the science, and the result will be many, many abortions. For the LGBT babies allowed to come to term perhaps there will be foundling homes for the babies with those markers from which same sex couples can adopt.
I think it has already been decided it is okay to abort homosexual babies (which would also mean LGBT+). Same logic as BLM says it okay to abort, period (and abortion has basically destroyed the black population in this country)

Pro-life people–not all but the majority–can’t get it through their skulls that contraception and IVF are a large part of the abortion equation. I don’t see how the LGBT community could see any more clearly.

There was a wonderful, heartbreaking movie called Twilight of the Golds – saw it years ago; haven’t been able to find it since. This was exactly the premise: happy family, two adult children, son is gay, daughter is pregnant, and IIRC, prenatal test reveals child is gay like his uncle; daughter decides to abort for that reason. It is devastating to the brother (played by a super-handsome actor whose name, sadly, escapes me right now). It seemed to get no publicity at the time and I haven’t been able to find it to see again – wonder if memory is serving here. At any rate – if you have a chance to see it, please do.
