I have never voted by machine as I regard them as unreliable. For a fraudster, voting machines that can be manipulated provide many rewards with small chance of detection. However, I think the fraud the case of the presidential election was done more old school.
We use a paper ballot that is marked with a black ink pen that is scanned by a machine. (I heard that black felt tip marker ink is not readable.) I do not know how it would be possible to refuse to vote by that method, though. If I did not use the machine to count my vote, how would they count it?
Electronic voting without a paper trail is not a good idea – if you don’t want to have election fraud. I’m OK with electronic tabulation of votes – but it MUST have a physical backup of some form. FWIW, the Dominion systems do seem to have a printed tape as backup so in theory you can always go back to the tape to determine the count if necessary.
Funny. It wasn’t that long ago leftists were complaining about voting machines…

No networked machines. And keep it simple. We’d benefit from electing fewer offices, replacing biennial terms with quadrennial terms, adding rotation-in-office rules, and distributing elections over more dates and distributing contests between separate desks at voting stations. You really should only be handed about 3 pieces of paper at each desk, if that.
Princeton Professor Appel testified before Congress 2 or 3 years ago about the ease of changing software for fraud in a Dominion machine. He all it takes is a screwdriver and 7 minutes to rig the machine by a tech. The state of Texas refused on 3 separate occasions to employ Dominion for TX elections.
In Wayne County, Michigan it was observed by a computer engineer in a vote counting area that some machines were linked to internet which is against the law and indicative of fraud.
CAM.
If we don’t get satisfaction for these infractions we can take some comfort that the Almighty will reward all accordingly.
The name “Dominion” should have been a warning to anyone with half a brain not to purchase the system.
Nate,
The left always projects. If a Democrat accuses his opponent of cannibalism, it’s time to start looking through the dem’s trash for suspicious looking bones.
