Turncoat Fox

Time for Fox to die:

On Election Night, Fox News Channel’s decision desk “called the House,” saying Democrats would gain five seats. This happened while Californians were still voting. Why does that matter? Because there are four districts in California that Democrats won from Republicans in 2018 and which Republicans were trying to retake. They are likely to win at least three of them.

In all, a source close to House Republican leadership says the GOP is likely to go into the next Congress with between 210 and 214 seats. That means they gained 11-14 seats and substantially trimmed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s majority.

Fox News could not have been more wrong, but they still have not retracted their very wrong, very badly timed call.

I’m not sure what they think they are doing, nor who think they are, nor whether they know their game is up and they’re enjoying one last spasm of untruth, but Fox News is not the Electoral College, nor is it the Supreme Court.

Go here to read the rest.  Fox was so sure of a blue wave.  I wonder if the powers that be at Fox were tipped off about the Democrat plan to steal the election?  Too bad the voters spoiled their blue wave.  Who knows, the theft of the Presidency might not even hold up.  Lots of interesting news coming up, and Fox will be interpreting it through their new Leftist lens without their conservative base viewers who despise them as turncoats, and also without Leftists who will still scorn them.  Welcome to a ratings debacle Fox!  This has been coming for a long time, but the management of Fox has obviously decided now to give a one fingered salute to their viewers.  Gentlemen, the feeling is mutual.

Fox joined the MSM. Now they all lie.

Don’t listen to any net-worked-over news. It will just confuse and make you mad.

Remembering the scene in Brave Heart where William Wallace and his men are betrayed by wealthy Scottish noblemen.

There are people at Fox News and FBN who are truly doing God’s work. Unfortunately, they are a little more than a handful. Eventually, there will be competition and those fearless few will find work elsewhere. Bill Hemmer came to Fox because he no longer had a home at CNN once it began driving out all conservatives. Well, history is likely to repeat. Liberals ruin everything they touch. I believe it is out of jealousy.

Orwell, “The further a society drifts from the truth the more it will hate those who speak.”

Case in point: Donald John Trump’s greatest service to America was that he exposed the corruption and rot of our ruling oligarchs. It’s why they hate him.

Somehow to, I don’t think he’s done.

A critic of the Murdoch boys has offered the opinion is that the plan is to turn Fox into “CNN with country music”, figuring to rubes who watch the network are too stupid to notice it’s happening. Tucker and Hannity jump to OANN, and their starboard audience leaves.

NB, Matt Drudge apparently sold his site, then signed some sort of non-disclosure agreement which has kept the sale concealed. It’s readers have notice the change in editorial policy and his traffic is down 45%. The Murdoch boys may discover they’re facing a tsunami of red ink, because they have a product that is substantively indistinct but bedeviled as always by headache-inducing production values.

I saw the dispatch’s attempted defense of fox and it somehow made me trust the channel even less.

I have always been suspicious of Fox because it generally follows the other broadcast media’s lead, but just to the right enough to capture the conservative market share.

Fox was always only conservative by comparison to all the rest.

The prime time commentary shows excepted.

I never saw Fox as a conservative outlet in the first place. I used to say everything I ever wanted to know about porn stars, I learned on Fox News. I saw it as a business venture. There was a market of people in the mid-90s growing increasingly bothered by the bias of the national press that was becoming apparent. Murdoc saw a market and exploited it. Now, it might be that the powers that be see the way the winds are blowing and are adjusting accordingly. The same reason Madison Ave. and Wall Street are now among the biggest backers of the post-American global dream of the Left. That’s where the money is.

Fox is going to help make Trump TV his most successful business venture by far. That’s of course assuming the left will be successful in stealing the presidency from him.

Fox was the most dangerous (to the left) news source, so it was inevitable that the left’s strategy of infiltrating their enemies and their institutions was a forgone conclusion. Fox was acting as a sleeper cell to stop Trump at a key moment and frankly the big bucks behind that movement will easily take the financial hit of conservative abandonment.

For the last four years the Fox News news division (as opposed to the pundits like Tucker and Hannity) has firmly been playing the role of the Washington Generals. That is, they pretend that they are conservative but each and every time they can hand the ball to the dems they did so. This allowed leftists to say things like “Trump is so bad that even the ultra-right wing Fox News can’t get behind him!” while also allowing them to get viewership from conservatives who weren’t paying close attention. Not a bad business model, if you’re a cynical leftist without a soul.

But now they’ve dropped any hint of being conservative in the first place. Indeed with many of their calls they are positioning themselves as being more in the tank for the DNC than CNN or MSNBC. That’s a horrible business model. It causes a mass exodus of the remaining conservative audience while not bringing anyone from the left, since they already have CNN and MSNBC and love taking shots at Fox News. We’re already seeing a huge fallout in the ratings.

The only way it makes sense is if the management is intentionally destroying the channel out of spite.

Fox News just “called” Alaska for Trump. Because, you know, until this point it was anyone’s guess as to whether Biden would take it.

Compare this to Arizona which was instantly called for Biden and which is still a tossup, actual vote count wise.

Unfortunately the alternatives on TV are, productionwise, not that great. Spicer is not a good TV interviewer, and OAN is not available on our channel lineup. We’ve decided (tentatively) to cut the cable cord and depend on WSJ, Pittsburg Trib, the NY Post, digital and occasionally paper to satisfy our daily Jonesing for news.

What’s to stop “TrumpTV” from becoming a Thing even if Trump manages to defeat the theft of his office? Debut in February 2024. Heck, Carter, Clinton and Obama already have destroyed the “tradition” of former Presidents being seldom seen and never heard.

I guess they’re going for the coveted Dixie Chicks award for the 2020 election season.
