“Pope” Francis and the Bidens feed at the same cancerous Communist Chinese trough with the same corruptive result.

I find the similarities between Pope Francis and President Trump endlessly fascinating and amusing. I note, for example, that the President and the Pope tend to speak off-the-cuff and to present regular gaffs without any retraction or attempt to explain. They have similar autocratic styles too, seemingly confusing fear with loyalty and acting unilaterally when the collaborative process fails to yield the results they desire and the “you are with me or the enemy” language they employ accomplishes precisely that.

There are significant differences, of course; principally, the President has accomplishments during his time in office.

David Spaulding I don’t know how to take your comment?
You talk about actions as if they could be devoid of moral content?
The very big difference in the so called similar actions is the morality of their object.

It was meant to be humor but I do think they are both autocrats with thin skins and big mouths. They are not loyal to their subordinates and shed those in their organizations who dare to speak the truth to them. However, unlike the Pope, President Trump has actual accomplishments. Clearer?

‘I find these comments from the Pope unthinkable in light of the Word of God,’ said Franklin Graham.

Yes. Clear. The difference is whether you are doing good or ill with those same characteristics
A good Loud mouth autocrat – or a bad one
To be loyal to loyal people and not loyal to disloyal people.
Personally I see Trump as a change agent for Good. And the pope as a bad one.

Looking at scripture, we see God using good and bad alike to His glory. I’m not competent to judge what is in others’ hearts. All I can do is look at their actions and assess the results. The President has done much good and the Pope hasn’t. Whether this is because the President is a better or worse man than the Pope is well beyond my competency but the President’s words and actions are disturbing and often mean-spirited. He has said some pretty awful things and seems to have very thin skin. He purportedly doesn’t take advice well or have any patience for those who tell him what he doesn’t want to hear. The President is a hard person to like but is getting the job done. The Pope isn’t. Whatever else one may wish to say about the Pope, the bottom line is that he’s a terrible administrator, displays a strong distaste for American Catholics, has remarkable patience for clerical immorality, and creates utter chaos with his off-the-cuff comments.

For all of his distaste for President Trump, the Pope has many of the same executive management quirks without the accomplishments.

David, your take on Trump pretty much mirrors mine. However, I wouldn’t be so quick to say Francis hasn’t accomplished anything. From where I can, he’s accomplished a lot. It just that none of it’s any good.

Thanks for that.
