Two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies who were the victims of an apparent ambush over the weekend near a Compton Metro station are now in stable condition as the manhunt for their shooter continues, officials said Monday.
Surveillance video from the scene showed the two deputies being shot at point-blank range while they were sitting inside their patrol car around 7 p.m. Saturday across the street from the Blue Line Metro station at 275 N. Willowbrook Ave., the Sheriff’s Department reported.
Sheriff Alex Villanueva told KTLA on Monday that video of the brazen shooting shows the male deputy staggering out of the patrol car after being shot, and the female deputy also getting out of the car.
Both were suffering from gunshot wounds to the head, officials said.
Villanueva said the female deputy, a 31-year-old wife and mother, and the 24-year-old male deputy, took lifesaving actions to help each other soon after they were shot multiple times.
“He’s bleeding out profusely from the arm so she actually applies a tourniquet to his arm to stop the bleeding and she tries to call for help on the radio,” Villanueva explained. “It’s pretty heart-wrenching and she’s trying to mumble and we finally get her … she says where she is at and the fact that there was a shooting, and that got all the help rolling in her direction.”
Villanueva said after exiting their patrol car, the wounded deputies hid behind a column.
“They didn’t know if the gunman was going to come back or not and they’re obviously both disabled and injured, very gut-wrenching to see the video and the heroic efforts from both of them to get to safety and still manage to take care of each other,” Villanueva said.
Both deputies underwent surgery and are expected to have a long-term recovery. The deputies have been on the job for 14 months.

While the cops were bleeding passers by jeered at them and rejoiced in the fact that they might die. After they were taken to a hospital Leftists attempted to block ambulances and yelled that they hoped that the cops would die.
This is a war. It has nothing to do with race. The main victims of this war have been poor blacks who have often seen the business districts they depend upon gutted by riots and arson. We are all familiar with videos of rich white kids participating in the riots taunting black cops. Race is merely a pretext used by the far Left to attack cops, frequently members of minority groups, and as an excuse to create havoc in our urban districts. Past time to take the same measures against the people fostering this that we would against a foreign enemy.
We should all be outraged at these demonic activities by Marxists who carry on with the silent acquiescence of our Democrat politicians and our leftist Catholic Church. Catholics in particular are to blame for the sorry condition of the world today—especially our hierarchy.

“Leftists attempted to block ambulances….” No, BLM supporters rallied to the hospital and did this. This should be the end of BLM, full stop. There not only are no Catholic Democrats left, there are no decent Democrats left. Every last one of them has sold their souls not for Wales, but for the electoral prospects of a racist, corrupt, senile old white male. Truth will ever always be stranger than fiction.
Interesting that these cretins could pull together a flash mob at the hospital on such short notice.

While the vehicle gave them some protection to the lower body and they wear armored vests, it appears that some understand that the head is usually unprotected.
This makes me sick. My daughter is a police cadet, and she is ready to quit before she even starts (if that makes sense). She loves police work and helping people but she said she feels like she has a target on her back. Just looking at the pics makes me cry as she almost looks like my daughter. Prayers for those officers and all others in the line of fire.
And those same morons would be the first to call 911 if someone is breaking into their house or store or threatening to rob or rape or hurt them. Who do they expect to show up to save their hide? /s

BLM/antifa thugs blocked the ER entrance and exit before those wounded officers could be brought in. After taking a moment to reflect on the heartlessness and contempt for human life it takes to do such a thing, consider the logistics involved.
BLM/antifa would have to learn of the shooting, find out that those officers were wounded, find out which ER they were going to, assemble their crowd of thugs, formulate their game plan, and transport those goons to block the ambulance—- all in the relatively little time it took for medics to arrive, stabilize those wounded officers and get them in an ambulance.
The daunting logistics behind getting a gang to block a hospital before an ambulance can get there suggests to me that BLM/antifa already had their plan in place before the shooting. Evidence suggests that this wasn’t a random shooting, but a conspiracy, a planned act of terror.
