PopeWatch: Principalities and Powers

Satan always comes for the Catholic Church first:

The British weekly The Tablet recently reported:

“Something is happening in French society that’s long been neglected but is  becoming evident with these fires”, said Stefan Lunte, secretary-general of Justice and Peace Europe. “The country is becoming de-Christianized, and there are people who wish, for whatever reason, to vandalize and destroy Christian symbols … The long-held strategy of keeping this under wraps simply does not work”.

The Justice and Peace movement is not normally associated with wild claims about culture wars, and as an adviser to the Commission of Bishops’ Conferences of the European Community, Lunte must be familiar with the safe and stodgy institutional mainstream of the Catholic Church in Europe. He is clearly fed up with it.

He continued, in an interview with a German Catholic radio station, domradio.de: “There are Satanist cults here [in France], as well as very extreme anarchist and libertarian groups, people often quite unstable psychologically.” Perhaps he thought it diplomatic not to mention individuals and groups inspired by some version of Islam, but clearly, they are also playing a part in this, both in France and internationally.

Why doesn’t someone simply ask the Bishops why they don’t speak out about the destruction? If they refuse to comment then a case can be made that destroying Churches serves their agenda.

.
Masks, or “face coverings” as they are often called in Michigan, strike me as very much part of Islamization.
.
Our Eparchy requires the priest wear one during distribution of Holy Eucharist. The phrase “face condom” always comez to mind.

It’s one thing to watch a train wreck.
It takes on another dimension when you realize that your on the train as it’s beginning to wreck.

Without Christ there cannot be peace.

No Christ- no peace.
Know Christ and know Peace.
[It’s been around for years, the saying, and it’s absolutely true.]

Onward Christian soliders.
The train is still on the tracks…

As far as Bishops are concerned.
The Almighty will ask them and us this question;
We’re you a blessing to my flock or we’re you a curse.

God’s Word states: “In whatever you do, remember your last days, and you will never sin” (Sir 7:36).

I recall being amazed, while in France in the early “1950’s,” as to how little interest there was in Christmas and how much excitement there was about the New Year. Secularization was France’s soul long ago.

DonL:
The tradition is France was to exchange gifts on New Year’s, not Christmas. Is that still the case?

DJH – I wouldn’t worry about that. Men don’t wear face coverings under Islam. And there’s no way the US is going to start a custom that would treat men and women differently.
