Who Needs Guns?

Whilst America hath been the land of promise to Europeans, and their descendants, it hath been the vale of death to millions of the wretched sons of Africa. . .Whilst we were offering up vows at the shrine of Liberty. . .whilst we swore irreconcilable hostility to her enemies. . .whilst we adjured the God of Hosts to witness our resolution to live free or die. . .we were imposing on our fellow men, who differ in complexion from us, a slavery, ten thousand times more cruel than the utmost extremity of those grievances and oppressions, of which we complained.

St. George Tucker

The right of self defence is the first law of nature: in most governments, it has been the study of rulers to confine this right within the narrowest limits possible. Wherever standing armies are kept up, and the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any colour or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not al-ready annihilated, is on the brink of destruction.

St. George Tucker, Blackstone’s Commentaries 1:App. 300 (1803)

Prior to the Revolution Professor St. George Tucker had smuggled arms to Patriots from the West Indies.  He was a combat veteran of the Revolution who distinguished himself at the Battle of Guilford Courthouse.  An advocate for the gradual abolition of slavery, and the founder of modern legal education in this country, he had no mere theoretical appreciation for liberty.  He had risked his life for it, and he understood its importance to all men.  Would that all Americans today were of his opinion.

You don’t see rioting, pillaging, mayhem or arson going on in places that respect the Second Amendment, do you?

I’ve visited the homes of St. George Tucker in Williamsburg (many times) and in Bermuda (once). A great lawyer and jurist.

You can’t wait for the start of the zombie apocalypse to prepare for it.

I have all the weapons and ammunition I need. Many do not.

The Gadsden Flag is a signal communicating, “I have enough ammunition.”

Being retired and locked up for 154 days (If lunatic lockdowns worked, there’d be no more China virus, girls!). I get out infrequently. I finally decided to go to a gun store and asked my son (the deer slayer) if he wanted anything. He asked for 20 gauge slugs (only used for deer hunting with shotgun).

I figured being one-use, I might find them. No, not at the gun shop. You don’t go in an employee comes out and asks what you want. Then, I went to a big box sports store that had them at a huge price. They had no weapons except for a few bolt-action, deer rifles the walls were bare. The clerk said they even refused to sell guns to people that obviously would be dangerous to themselves and others. Still, they sold out.

You cannot buy a gun or bullet for love or money. Inconceivable for woke-Nassau County, NY.

It’s also a signal of where to find guns and ammunition after the zombie apocalypse starts. Personally, I wouldn’t fly one unless I had plenty of neighbors flying theirs.
