And the current gang at the Vatican continues its efforts to convince non-Leftist Catholics to leave the Church:
The Vatican urged Catholics on Thursday to disinvest from the armaments and fossil fuel industries and to closely monitor companies in sectors such as mining to check if they are damaging the environment.
The calls were contained in a 225-page manual for church leaders and workers to mark the fifth anniversary of Pope Francis’ landmark encyclical “Laudato Si” (Praised Be) on the need to protect nature, life and defenseless people.
The compendium suggests practical steps to achieve the goals of the encyclical, which strongly supported agreements to contain global warming and warned against the dangers of climate change.
Go here to read the rest. Hang tough. This too shall pas.
Bupkis to do with Catholicism is the episcopal motto of the entire Church hierarchy.
What’s Catholicism? New meaning: Universal environmental interest.
It sometimes appears to me that Pope Francis sees Catholicism as something nice for Catholics, but the important things that should unite everyone are those issues as agreed upon by the dominant progressive forces of our day.
And the there’s this:

This prudential investment advice from clerics who can’t manage their own bank. I’ll pass.
I approve of ethical investing in general. I can even imagine energy or arms companies doing things that would cause me to divest. But in general, they seem to me to be a moral good.
Child labor is a tougher one for me. A 14-year-old pushing a broom seems fine. Sixteen hour shifts on a sewing machine isn’t something I’d want to invest in. But I don’t know who I’d trust to identify which companies cross the line.
“BLM also proclaims itself determined to “dismantle cisgender privilege,” pro-transgender and “queer‐affirming,” maintaining: “When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise)” — an agenda in flagrant contradiction of Catholic teaching on sexuality and the family.”
Unfortunately some in the Vatican approve of this agenda.
