PopeWatch: Seventh of Never

Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.

We already know that St. JPII the Great protected Marcial Maciel. It would not surprise me if the report strongly implicated JPPII, and the Vatican fears a backlash among “JPII Catholics.”
They are hirelings. Nothing new to see here. As far as knowing how far the rot goes, even without the report, I will know them by their fruit. That means you Bishop Gregory. I wouldn’t let you teach a religion class and I sure as heck wouldn’t let you near my children. See, I don’t need a report.
My diocese (like most I think), performs an annual Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check on anyone who assists in any way at any Church function or building.
They’re very serious about these “investigations”.
What would happen if we refused until the McCarrick investigation were complete?
I’m sure the report will be released about the same time this Holy Father responds to the Dubia.
We are pretty much on our own with the help of God. The Church is collapsing. We need an orthodox underground Catholic Church badly. Before long we may have priests living with and hold Mass in our living rooms.
If McCarrick breathes, no report.
Bet on it.
Until then, the pope sends you his middle finger.
Ranger, Last I read, McCarrick disappeared from the small friary in Victoria, Kansas. No one has found him since. There are people looking for him. He could be dead already….
DJH, I’m a great admirer of JP2 and am more interested in the truth getting out than any damage to JP2’s image. My personal hunch is that while the former pope was a weak administrator of the Church, he was not an active member of the homosexualist cabal within the hierarchy.
No, if he’d died, it would be reported and noticed. Whichever house is harboring him has no reason to run afoul of state law by burying him in the back yard and not getting a certificate from the county clerk. (As far as I’ve been able to discover, the man has no proximate relations). A man his age has a life expectancy of about 4 years, and people in that age group are commonly non compos mentis. I wouldn’t give him much thought at this time.
Back in 2014, Pope Francis was asked when the dismantling of the traditionalist Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate would be lifted. This Pope responded “Soon, soon”… Is
However, the persecution never let up, and the once-flourishing congregation lies in ruins today.
I suspect the release of the McCarrick report—and any hard decisions it would necessitate—will also happen “Soon, soon”.
One item offered in the past in JPII’s defense – sort of – is that when in Poland, the KGB and its Polish Communist bootlickers frequently accused priests of such debauchery – and likely paid some of them to enter Polish seminaries.
McCarrick, Bernadin, Dearden, et al were behaving like perverts long before JPII left Poland for Rome. Voris proved this.
Some radtrad retard picked a fight with me in a Breitbart article about JPII. According to the radtrad retard, JPII is guilty of every problem facing the Church today, yesterday and tomorrow. I wasn’t aware that I am a neocon fake Catholic until the radtrad retard told me so.
It’s going to be released at the same time as the Concordat with the Chinese Reich and the report to Benedict about the “gay mafia” are made public.
The reality is, there’s no way to spin the current pontiff’s role, and even a bowdlerized report would allow for follow up work.
So you’ll take your silence and like it.
Penguins Fan, you’re going to find plenty of that on the interwebs. Ant blemish on JP2’s record must be picked at until it becomes a gaping wound.
Surely they’re more worried about embarrassing the living than the dead? The living can still be sued.
