Among the last of the nuns to be martyred during the French Revolution, she and seven other nuns were guillotined on October 23, 1794. They went bravely to their deaths singing the Litany of Loreto to the Blessed Virgin.

Agreed. Bastille Day is a celebrated holiday in France. There should be a reminder, since history often repeats its self, of those dark, godless days but not a celebration. Perhaps Eide will be a national day in the future?
