Father Dan and the Three Days of Darkness

Father Z gives us further evidence, if any were needed, that leftist clerics are flourishing under this pontificate:

The priest involved is one Daniel P Horan, OFM whom the Fishwrap (aka National Schismatic Reporter) coos over: “Daniel Horan is one of those hip young priests that the new evangelization dreams of”.

Look… I’m all for prudent and reverent stewardship of the “environment”, although I insist that we human beings are part of that “environment” even as we are at its pinacle. Heck, I can echo the Ancient Mariner and say:

Farewell, farewell! but this I tell
To thee, thou Wedding-Guest!
He prayeth well, who loveth well
Both man and bird and beast.

He prayeth best, who loveth best
All things both great and small;
For the dear God who loveth us,
He made and loveth all.

But that slop in that video borders on impious sentimental omphaloskepsis.

As for Horan, in a video wherein he sets out his version of Amoris laetitia he uses this image as an introduction:

Go here to read the rest.  Faithful readers of this blog may recognize the name Daniel P. Horan from a post I did back in 2012 in which I gave a post by Brother Dan, this was prior to his ordination, in which he expressed his disdain for the March of Life, a fisking.  Go here to read that post.  Father Dan has come up in the world over the past half decade, judging from this comment by one of Father Z’s readers:

ChgoCatholic says:

Daniel Horan has quite the Twitter feed. That’s where I know him from, after he used his Twitter platform to loudly endorse Franciscan participation in the Women’s March(es) last month and got into nasty, embarrassing and frankly uncharitable verbal wars with people on Twitter who questioned his support of glaringly anti-Catholic groups and assemblies. It was disappointing to see his utter lack of humility and watch him block users who made simple, politely-worded points to him. It later, sadly, came as no surprise when I saw his official role/title as right hand man to Card. Cupich. As a native of Chicago–a once great Archdiocese–it’s sad to see what has become of its leadership in the modern era (though there are no doubt wonderful exceptions among the ordained and lay communities there).

Sodomy maybe a sexual act for one individual, as is masturbation, but sodomy is assault and battery of the other individual. Every individula involed in all of this is not pursuing his Happiness and will not find his destiny until he or she begins following the TRUTH. Simply said: These goings on are a waste of time, energy and Who the person is, his or her very existence. I would hate to have to spend time in hell for all the time I have wasted on earth.

I like Belloc’s riposte

“The streptococcus is the test
I love him least of all.”

C.S. Lewis squarely defines this sinful activity; “There are only two kinds of people in the end: Those who say to God, Thy will be done, And to those to whom God says, in the end, Thy will be done,’ All that are in Hell choose it.”

Continuous prayers and fearlessness in the face of culture is one way to help them find Truth. God does the hard work, but our small part is required.

Have a blessed Lenten journey.
Peace my friend.

Philip Nachazel: Thank you, Philip, for your blessings. I can never get enough blessings. Only giving blessings makes a difference. Jesus spent three days in the tomb. Christ’s followers are never alone.
Have a blessed Lenten journey to you too, Philip, my friend.

Some demons only can be beaten through prayer and fasting.

St. Paul’s Epistle 1 Timothy 4:1 is about false teachers: in latter times some people will abandon the Faith; they will obey lying spirits and follow the teachings of demons; such teachings are spread by deceitful liars whose consciences are dead.

The guilt trip from hell using the Holy Mass as a prop. St. Francis’ Brother Sun and Sister Moon was a canticle of praise to God for creation. St. Francis was never ordained a priest and would not use the Holy Mass as a vehicle for blaming people for climate change. ” a climate change, we have caused…” People as pollution ought to bring about the human being’s extinction. Does this man not know that divine Providence will provide?
