8 Responses to The Mainstream Media is Fake News

  • To paraphrase Francis bacon; “What is journalism asked jesting Pilate?”

  • Let me add one more rule of fake news. You can read most articles these days or watch a news segment and what you get is almost entirely opinion. There is absolutely no question what the news source wants you to think about the issue. In fact, frequently there are no facts to support the opinion piece passed off as news.

  • Agree. I see it in my own son who is the chief political analyst on ABC-TV. The ‘This Week’ Sunday program is clearly biased. One example of making fake news is the imbalance of the Round Table. Only 10-15 minutes are given for the discussion, there are usually 5 panelists , three Democrats and two Republicans. Consequently, the “discussion” usually consists of party line selling points with the Democrat position winning on points. Most unsatisfactory. But the thing about this is that most folks are not fooled and use it as an exercise to find bias. Largely, the networks are fooling themselves.

  • All news reporting must satisfy that all persons reading are included for better or worse in Truth and Justice.

  • I think It’s downright propaganda. It is not reporting. Deliberate misrepresentation to further socialism. The credentials of these “journalist’s”? Report the news. Same with this crap going on in Rome. Forced down the throats of apathetic populace who have no idea of the truths of their faith. “Bless me Father, and rationalize my sins”

  • The newsroom HBO series gives an in-depth look at how and why our news is in such a sad state of affairs, it you haven’t “rented” the series its a must watch see slam of fake news stories here on you tube..enjoy

  • Fake cultures are also affirmed by the same outlets. Case in point….abstract art is about 97% unfortunate but the NY Times for decades has kept it supported by never criticizing the absurdities they recently reported….Ellsworth Kelly paints a green rectangle which each of you could paint…and the nyt reports that it is for sale in Chelsea for 5 million dollars. Two weeks previous they reported that a white rectangle by Robert Ryman sold for 20 million at Southeby’s auction. Whereas rap was invented for people who can’t sing…abstract was invented for people who can’t paint as well as Andrew Wyeth etc.
Men’s fashions is another delusionary event that the NY Times affirms whenever the bizarre and worn by nobody ….mens fashion shows appear in NY.
Who buys a painting that is a green rectangle? People who love rectangles? No. Wealthy people who know it’s a fake asset class that appreciates more steadily than Micron stock.
Buy it for 5 mil today and next year you can sell it for 6 mil. Thank the nyt and the well rewarded galleries who get 40% of that price.
It’s not just fake news….it’s fake art, clothing and music.

Project Veritas: CNN Bovine Droppings

Tuesday, June 27, AD 2017

National treasure James O’Keefe of Project Veritas proves that CNN is the home of fake news:

In a video released overnight by ‘Project Veritas‘ founder James O’Keefe, CNN producer John Bonifield is caught on film admitting that the network’s constant coverage of the Trump-Russia narrative is “mostly bullshit” and “the president is probably right to say [CNN] is witch-hunting [him].”

He also noted the story is “good for business.”

“I haven’t seen any good enough evidence to show that the President committed a crime,” he said. “I just feel like they don’t really have it but they want to keep digging. And so I think the President is probably right to say, like, look you are witch hunting me. You have no smoking gun, you have no real proof.”

He also said: “It’s a business, people are like the media has an ethical phssssss…All the nice cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school you’re just like, that’s adorable. That’s adorable. This is a business.”

  • Fake news is fake news. Comic books are a business too. The biggest fake news ever was the 1962 headline banner: PRAYER BAN after the Supreme Court heard the atheist who shall remain nameless and said that the atheist could go her own way. The fake news banned:PRAYER BAN. So, we are not keeping the Law of the Land. We are keeping the fake news of the main stream media. Holy Gulag.
That blessed comic Red Skelton, may he rest in peace, said: “She may go her own way, but she is not taking us with her.””She may go her own way” is tolerance of the person, a deathbed convert.
You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. Now that is business. Great reporting. some of the time and all of the people

  • Great reporting. some of the time and all of the people… dangling participle or something…Sorry

  • “I ain’t buying it.”
My favorite line from the movie Guardians of the Galaxy:
Rocket: Attention, idiots! The lunatic on the top of this craft is holding a Hadron Enforcer, a weapon of my own design.
    Yondu: What the hell?
Rocket: If you don’t hand over our companions now, he’s gonna tear your ship a new one. A very big new one.
    Yondu: I ain’t buyin’ it.

  • An interesting CNN anomaly is the “link or feed,” suddenly goes down when an interviewer is speaking of Jesus on said network. I came across this phenomenon a while back while visiting you tube.
It also happens on occasion when a conservative view is becoming difficult for the reporter on CNN and MSNBC to debate.

There are many to choose from.

    Here’s a couple; https://youtu.be/IdYRN8Clddw

    https://youtu.be/agm0hFKSdUw

    https://youtu.be/d4YQ6n9_y8E

    The last one is compelling.
NFL player Benjamin Watson speaks of Jesus Christ and forgiveness of sin and CNN can’t stomach it.

Are some of these drops legitimate?
    Could be.

CNN is not a bonafide news network.
    Not at all.
It’s a propaganda machine plain and simple.

  • Info please. I am working on artlcle to submit to K.C. magazine, The Columbian. It began Medal of Honor Catholic Priests. I am expanding it to Catholic religious in US military. Any help, even list of names would be great help.

  • Hi Scotth, Suggest you contact the Military Archdiocese at http://www.milarch.org. No priest can serve in the US military without first being credentialed by this military ordinariate. Since you have researched MOH Catholic Priests you have info on Fr. Vincent Capodanno, now titled Servant of God since his canonization cause has been opened. The late CAPT Jake Laboon, USN CHC was USNA ’44 and was awarded the Silver Star for diving off his subarmarine to rescue a downed aviator in WWII. LCDR William Dorwart, USNR, CHC served on a carrier as an Aviation Ordnanceman before graduating from college and joining the Congregation of Holy Cross. He was the NAS Cubi Pt, PI chaplain in 1987 and was last seen conducting a burial at Arlington National Cemetery as a Naval District Washington chaplain. The Diocese of Arlington VA currently has two young priests preparing to become navy chaplains. Also in the diocese is Fr. Michael Duesterhaus, a naval reservist, who was on active duty in Djibouti and with the marines in Iraq. His lecture about those two assignments was excellent. IMHO military chaplains are a cut above, a special breed whether army, navy or air force. One day while on an army post I saw a nun in a traditional habit it turned out that she was a hospital sister in Washington DC and an army reservist surgeon. She had been on active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan while a nun. I would have liked to learn more details but we ran out of time.

Bitter Harvest

Thursday, February 23, AD 2017

On one side, millions of starving peasants, their bodies often swollen from lack of food; on the other, soldiers, members of the GPU carrying out the instructions of the dictatorship of the proletariat. They had gone over the country like a swarm of locusts and taken away everything edible; they had shot or exiled thousands of peasants, sometimes whole villages; they had reduced some of the most fertile land in the world to a melancholy desert.

Malcolm Muggeridge – British foreign correspondent, War on the Peasants, Fortnightly Review, 1 May, 1933

Eighty-five years too late, a movie on the Great Famine of 1932-1933 in the Soviet Union is being released tomorrow.  Some six million people were murdered by starvation in Stalin’s man made famine, and almost all of these people died in the most agriculturally fertile areas of the Soviet Union, especially the Ukraine.  This was Stalin’s way of imposing collectivization on the recalcitrant farmers of his empire, while eliminating the opposition to Communist rule in the countryside.  For Stalin the mass deaths were a feature not a bug.  While all this was going on most Western journalists in the Soviet Union actively attempted to conceal the existence of the famine.  Only a few brave journalists like Malcolm Muggeridge, then a partisan of the left, had the courage to speak out and tell honestly what they had seen with their own eyes.  Walter Duranty, who was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1932 for his reports from the Soviet Union,  of the New York Times denounced journalists who reported on the famine.  “Fake news” has a long pedigree on the left in this country.

  • Stalin said: ” to kill one man is homicide. To kill 30,000,000 is a statistic.” Stalin enjoyed the death and dying of other people. The Russians tore up floor boards to get at grandma’s hidden preserves.

  • The Reds killed approximately 100 million of their people during the 20th century. In 1973, five (?) US Supreme Court justice set in motion the killings of 57 million and counting American gestational human persons. “And the beat goes on.”

  • We know a lot about the Holocaust and little about the Great Famine because there were few cameras in the Ukraine.

  • John Schuh: Too many Americans justify what Stalin did. One person cannot own another person” A. Lincoln. I was once told that Russia was justified because Russia needed the food. Ebeneezer Scrooge said, that many years ago: “Let Tiny Tim die and reduce the population.+ Nothing new here.

  • Watch “The Soviets” when it’s rerun on your local PBS. It’s chilling. At first Stalin selected specific groups and areas like the Ukraine to be anihilated. Then it got so Kruschev and the like would just ask Stalin for a quota of humans to kill…a 100,000 here, 200,000 there. Depravity.

  • This looks like the year for genocide films. The Promise, a film about the Armenian Genocide, will be out in April.

  • Bitter Harvest is getting panned all over the place. Too bad. It is the kind of film that needed to have been made. Perhaps the DVD edition could be used in fast forward to get a good presentation of the real events.
