Democrats and Whirlwinds

For they shall sow wind, and reap a whirlwind, there is no standing stalk in it, the bud shall yield no meal; and if it should yield, strangers shall eat it.

Hosea 8:7

There is a rising tide of Democrat threats of violence, and acts of violence, against Republican office holders around the nation.  John Hinderacker at Powerline reminds the Democrats of the whirlwind that may be just around the corner in this nation:

The thing I don’t understand is, why do Democrats like Cory Booker, Maxine Waters, Chuck Schumer, etc., think they are the only ones who can use violence to advance their cause? Do they not understand what a whirlwind they will unleash if they try to use political violence as a path to power?

Go here to read the somber rest.

Big Media is the problem. If it weren’t for the media not only giving the Democrats a pass on political violence, but encouraging it and megaphoning it to the fringes of society, there wouldn’t be such a problem.

“Big Media is the problem.” I could not agree more. The influence it still wields makes it a bigger threat to our Republic than almost anything else. I say almost anything else simply because we are suffering from a spiritual problem that requires a spiritual solution, and there is little hope of solving that given the state of affairs in the Church today. So, Big Media is the problem and the answer is for decent people to stop supporting it in any way. For instance, it doesn’t matter how good the NYT travel section is, stop supporting the lunacy for which it is consistently responsible. You will never shame the beast, you will have to starve it.

David, yep. I’ve said that a free press might be necessary for a strong democracy, but a propaganda ministry is antithetical to one.

Sen. Warren’s rant on the steps of the Capital didn’t invoke peaceful protest; Sen Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat from Massachusetts and hero of the progressive left, drew a roar from the crowd when she took the microphone on a hot sunny day in the nation’s capital.

“I watched that hearing last Thursday and I believe Dr. Ford,” Warren said. “This is about power. I watched 11 men, powerful men, who tried to help another powerful man make it to an even more powerful position. I am angry on behalf of women who have been told to shut up and sit down one time too many.”

Over 300 arrests we’re made during that protest.

Warren is going to regret spreading the fire. Arsonist look like everyone else and their behavior is unlawful not to mention dangerous.
They are sick individuals.

I think that they would be delighted if someone took a shot at Schumer the Putz Head (thanks Al D’amato), and ecstatic if he was hit. With their allies in the Media they would have a Martyr for generations, and a catalyst for any number of new laws & restrictions once they have power back. “Remember the Putz! -really you have to, it’s the LAW.” Any individual may be sacrificed to the CAUSE, and the greater good. And if someone went after Hillary that would be better still, a twofer.

It’s a reasonable wager that they’re not so anxious because: (a) the media spin everything and (b) campus police departments and core city police departments have to answer to Democratic pols (see Charlottesville) and (c) a lot of judges are abusive. See Scott Lively’s precis of what dealing with the court system is like when you’re an exponent of a cause considered outre by professional people.

And, note, the behavior of elements of the legal profession in this fracas: the “Hon” Mr. “Justice” John Paul Humbug, the poseur faculty who’ve been signing petitions, and the repellent student body at Yale Law School.

These thugs aren’t “crazed activists,” they are mercenaries paid for by George Soros, who set up his network during the Obama “administration.” Speaking of thugs, it would be most interesting to find out how much $oros money has ended up in the coffers of Waters and Booker.

How do these protestors gain entrance to the Senate buildings? Last time I entered one of those buildings, the security was tough. Guess they are getting passes from the Democratic Senators’ offices. This needs investigating.

What a time to be alive. The crisis in the Church and the crisis in the political arena are eerily similar. Truths are not merely distorted, but manufactured falsehoods are presented as truth. Any and all who attempt to defend the truth are chastised, declared careless bigots or worse, even called the “great accuser”. We are no longer on the brink of anarchy, we are in the midst of it. Just how horrific will the wake up call be is up to us. One thing is for sure, it will take place in the not to distant future.

It is…………….A Tale of Two Revolutions. Both are ongoing and of their ultimate outcome, it is too early to say. The first is ours, to affirm the sovereignty of the human person as understood in Judeo-Christian Tradition. The second is Robespierre’s to overturn that tradition and the very God from whom such true progress comes, in favor of an all powerful state which denies our human right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. During the Sixties, these dark spirits sought to overthrow the government. Today they seek to overthrow the People.

The Democrats have been using a variety of cat’s paws as their
muscle — I’m thinking of the SEIU goons who were bussed in to
start trouble at Republican events during the last election, the
vandals of the Occupy movement, the demagogues and cop-shooters
of BLM, and the masked brownshirts of Antifa. When have our
elected Democrats ever issued a full-throated denunciation of any
of those groups? Their silence serves to normalize what should
otherwise be unacceptable in a sane society.

It’s curious*** that our media seems not to have noticed that the
violence on our political landscape is overwhelmingly from
the left. I can’t recall any of the mainstream media wondering
at the fact that while Trump’s rallies were constantly disrupted by
leftist thugs, Hillary’s events were never similarly targeted by
Republican goons– because, of course, no such Republican goons
exist except in the fevered imaginings of leftist true believers.

__________________
*** It’s not really that curious– as David Sharples and Father of
Seven pointed out above, today’s Big Media is little more than
the propaganda arm of the DNC. If our so-called journalists were
actually practicing their profession, the Democrats would long
ago have been called out on their embrace of violence as a
political tool.

This is the era of the Unmasking in all walks of life: political, religious, entertainment, and social. I have been writing about this and sharing with others about this. It is a fasciniating time to be alive.

The Unmasking era.
I like it. Many examples to choose from.
There’s the Joker… Hillary Clinton. Fake smile and heart. Robbery and destroyer of lives, her mask has been off for conservatives too see since Arkansas days. Liberals like her mask. Cunning and shameless. The Joker is their God.

I’ve just read that Collins and Manchin will vote Yes on confirming Kavanaugh. If that holds, and even if snow Flake melts, that will put Kavanaugh on the SC.
And perhaps there will be retribution for the character assassination in the upcoming elections: Democrats in Indiana, Missouri, Montana and New Jersey defeated for re-election.

It’s the inevitable result of when you convince people that their lives depend on government policy. (exhibit A: Mark Shea’s claims that conservatives will kill him with healthcare reform) When people believe their very lives are on the line they’re resort to any measure to save it. Jordan Peterson has pointed this out more than once: when you convince yourself you’re a victim, you can justify any action – no matter how horrible – because it’s in self-defense.

And yes I know what Art Deco is probably about to say, but the point isn’t whether it’s real or not, it’s whether those people believe it. Because feelings are more important than facts today. Plus I’ve seen more than a few efforts to convince these folks things aren’t that bad and they won’t die be dismissed as “gaslighting.”

See Scott Lively’s precis of what dealing with the court system is like when you’re an exponent of a cause considered outre by professional people.

Not sure what the reference is here, Art. Can you give a source or explanation? Sounds interesting.

The goal of the Left is to destroy our republic, & they have been publicly proclaiming it for years. Why does no one believe them? Their actions constantly back up their words.

As a Canadian I don’t have a dog in this hunt, but I have to say that the ugly mob behaviour, led and encouraged by Democratic US senators is diabolical at its core. The demonic effort to take down Brett Cavanaugh by any means (a decent man based on the actual evidence), is all about defending abortion ….. period, full stop. Notwithstanding the wicked battalions arrayed against him, I see he is about to be confirmed. Saint Michael Archangel defend us in battle. Viva Christo Rey!

The violence will get worse if and when Kavanaugh is confirmed to SCOTUS because then the Dems will realize that even trying to trick and pervert the political system did not get them what they want, so they will go into open rebellion.

BTW, my boss at work – a republican conservative and a southern Baptist – says he thinks the primary issue isn’t abortion for these Dems but gun control. They need to take guns away from law abiding citizens so that once they control govt, they can use force of govt arms with impunity to achieve whatever result they desire. I don’t say he’s right, but maybe he isn’t totally wrong either.

I will also add that just as Dems call us as evil, they are indeed evil for their abortion, their sodomy sanctification, their slander, and all the rest of their idolatry. No, the GOP is NOT the party of God, but the Dems are the party of Satan. And as long as that condition exists, there can be NO dialogue or peace to be had with them. It’s that simple. Pray and fast and mortify – yes. But remember the Maccabean brothers and what they had to do to secure their freedom from the evil Seleucids.

Disagree. The issue is the capacity of the the Democratic Party’s vanguard to get its way. Roe and Obergefell are preposterous decisions. They are also gross assertions of power. Take away this body of case law, and they’d have to actually persuade state legislators of their viewpoint, something they fancy they shouldn’t be asked to do.

Your SBC friend is correct. If the Left can take our guns, they can & will use the force of government arms to do as they wish with us. This has taken place over & over, again, through out world history when populations have been disarmed.

We have no choice but to fight & defend ourselves against these people through any moral means available to us. If we give into their threats of violence & let them have their way, we will be living in tyranny.

The Left have never made any secret of their belief in political violence.

Alain Badiou, the Grand Old Man of the French Left, makes this abundantly clear: “Materialist dialectics assumes, without particular joy, that, till now, no political subject was able to arrive at the eternity of the truth it was deploying without moments of terror. Since, as Saint-Just asked: ‘What do those who want neither Virtue nor Terror want?’ His answer is well-known: they want corruption – another name for the subject’s defeat” (Logiques des monde)

L’Humanité and other papers on the Hard Left regularly decry “sensitive liberals,” who want “a decaffeinated revolution – 1789 without 1791.” Radicals are, on the contrary, possessed by what Alain Badiou called the “passion of the Real”: “if you say A – equality, human rights and freedoms – you should not shirk from its consequences and gather the courage to say B – the terror needed to really defend and assert the A.”
