Gunning for Republicans

Partisan hatred was taken up a few notches this morning:

The gunman who opened fire on a Republican congressional baseball practice session on Wednesday morning, injuring four people including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, has been named as James T. Hodgkinson.

The shooter from Belleville, Illinois, fired up to 100 rounds from a high powered rifle from the third base dugout at Eugene Simpson Stadium Park in Alexandria, Virginia, as the group practiced batting at around 7:00 a.m.

He was eventually shot by two U.S. Capitol Police officers who were accompanying Scalise. They were both wounded as they exchanged gunfire.

Hodgkinson is now in custody and undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

A congressional staffer for Texas Rep. Roger Williams was also shot. Senator Rand Paul, who was at the scene but was not injured, described it as a ‘killing field.’

A man thought to be the shooter asked if the group were Republicans or Democrats before opening fire, Florida Rep. Ron DeSantis said. North Carolina Rep. Mike Walker told NBC News the ‘gunman was there to kill as many Republican members as possible.’

Go here to read the rest.  He is a fan of the Democrat Party and “Democratic Socialism”.  Go here to view his Facebook page before it is doubtless taken down.  God help our nation.

Liberalism is a mental illness.

A gather from another site on which I am a participant, that the MSNBC talking points to be used by partisan Democrats this morning are to rail at Republicans about ‘assault rifles’.

Gee, when you call your opponents nazis and evil monsters literally trying to kill people, who could have foreseen this?

Corruption personified himself, Terry McAuliffe, said, “There are too many guns on the street.”

Wrong! There are too many hateful, violent liberals on the streets.

It’s so dangerous out there I wouldn’t leave the house unarmed.

This level of rhetorical hatred and political violence was last experienced in the years immediately prior to the US Civil War.

Killing people because of their political affiliations is the height of tyranny. We are all under siege. Freedom of association is no longer. Denial of God is the root of murder.

I can hardly wait for the tolerant left late night suck-ups to gloss this over… Jimmy Fallon & Steven Colbert can use this event as material in their on going smear on Republican leadership. President Trump being the punching bag of choice.

The face of the participants in the 2017 Festival of the Inbreeds is the American Liberal. Add Hodgkinson’s to this despicable list. Sick puppies all!

I can imagine Fallon saying that the shooting was a good start.

Colbert? He will say it was a false flag event that was organized by the Trump team to discredit Liberals.

But hey…the poor bastards gotta make a buck somehow.

Hmm. If this had been a Trump supporter the MSM would go nuts, but since it’s a Clinton supporter,,, well…
it’ll be interesting to see how the MSM reacts. I’m sure they will find a way to blame Trump.

I don’t know, there’s some pretty rank and scary rhetoric coming from the alt-left on this one. From trying desperately to say the GOP deserves it, to deflecting back at Conservatives, to yucking it up because a bunch of righties got pinged, there’s some serious Himmler signaling going on here. And some of it on Catholic sites no less.

The level of hatred is an outgrowth of the politics of emotion: it is impossible to argue rationally with people that no longer believe that there is any objective truths to be found in reasoned discourse. Religious leaders and educators have refused to Catechize or educate for fear of being labeled reactionary. Logic and reason are beaten by emotion and the distraught are deaf to reason– pray for our country and carry when in public.

“but since it’s a Clinton supporter”

No, he was a hardcore Bernie Bro and had blasted Hillary as “practically Republican,” or something similar — IOW she was not leftist enough for his taste.

Expected outcome of the rage and mindless hostility of the left, especially, their ongoing effort to depersonalize their ideological opponents—e.g., Rachel Maddow ‘s nightly shrill denunciations of Trump; the unfunny Kathie Griffin depicting a decapitated Trump about 10 days ago; then, a very bloody and diabolical graphic execution of a Trump character at “Shakespeare in the Park” in NYC only 3 days ago.

It is like a countdown beat of a coming very violent war.

The only surprise I have is that this has not happened more often. The shooter is a nutcase.

Credit where credit is due– the left-wing politicians, including Bernie, have all responded quite honorably.

Oddly enough, the day before all this happened I mentioned over at Hoyt’s that I was very worried about the normalization of violence.
Then some guy who by his posting is not out of keeping with any other Facebook Warrior tries to kill a bunch of people for being in the wrong party.

Abortion, assisted suicide, assassination and atheism perfect together is exactly right Mary. It is spiritual insanity.
