PopeWatch: Gender Theory

PopeWatch2-199x300-199x300-199x300

When it comes to the pernicious make believe known as gender theory Pope Francis is right on target:

In an extended, off-the-cuff speech in Georgia, Francis said that today we are witnessing a “global war to destroy marriage” in which gender theory places a key role, fighting “not with weapons, but with ideas.”

The Pope has been an outspoken critic of LGBT agitators’ efforts to impose same-sex marriage and theories of gender fluidity that divorce gender from biological sexual differences.

Earlier this year, Francis published an lengthy teaching text on marriage and the family called The Joy of Love (Amoris Laetitia), in which he underscored the unique value of motherhood and fatherhood, neither of which is dispensable or replaceable with a unisex version of “parent.”

He also said that the “legal deconstruction of the family” taking place in many countries cannot bode well for the future of society. It is unacceptable that “international bodies should make financial aid to poor countries dependent on the introduction of laws to establish ‘marriage’ between persons of the same sex,” he said.

In that same letter, Francis slammed gender theory for its denial of “the difference and reciprocity in nature of a man and a woman,” and for its dream of “a society without sexual differences.”

“An appreciation of our body as male or female,” he said, is “necessary for our own self-awareness in an encounter with others different from ourselves.” Efforts to cancel out sexual differences based in anatomy are a symptom of a sick society that “no longer knows how to deal with it,” he wrote.

Go here to read the rest.  Much of the ills of the modern world is because adults fail to realize that make believe is a game for kids rather than a basis for public policy.

In M*A*S*H, Jamie Farr plays Corporal Klinger who cross-dresses in an effort to get out of the Army on a Section 8. At least it was then recognized as a manifestation of insanity.

Sexual orientation is a gift from God for all eternity. Gender identity is man‘s invention of a temporary nature. Why must any law bend to a finite and fallible, temporary invention of man’s as though gender identity is an eternal truth. It runs contrary to common sense and the common good. Laws must be based on truth, the whole truth and NOTHING but the truth, so help me God. The rest is imposition of atheism against the First Amendment and unconstitutional taxation without representation, denying the official representation of constituents as taxpayers, taxpayers who maintain all possession of their tax dollars even while their taxes are administered by the administration. Atheism is an unconstitutional violation of the First Amendment, Although, the atheist must be tolerated as a person and death bed convert, his choice to violate the First Amendment disenfranchises the atheist of his sovereign personhood, citizenship and privilege to testify in a court of law, because of the atheist’s lack of good will for the common good in not observing our constitutional freedoms and innate human rights.

Thank you, Holy Father, for speaking the Truth on this subject. As Benedict XVI has said, redefining gender is a sin against Creation of God the Father.
It is hubris for man to think that he can change natural law just because he says so.

@Mary De Voe “Sexual orientation is a gift from God for all eternity” is from the enemy.

We can all congratulate Pope Francis and be proud of him for calling gender theory a “great enemy” of marriage, adding that the ideology of gender is part of a global war of ideas out to destroy traditional marriage. Let us hope we hear more from him on this.

By taking this position Pope Francis is alienating himself from the worldly powers supporting the madness of a “new” understanding of sexuality. Let us hope and pray that he continues to alienate himself and the Church from all aspects of the perverse aspects of modern culture especially having to do with sexuality.

Bravo Pope Francis!

ps: maybe our prayers for him are working–a little bit, anyway.

God first created Adam (man). Later He decided to Create a woman

First God created Adam (man), Afterwards God decided Adam needed a woman, (not another man), so He created Eve from Adams rib. A man and a woman together is God’s way, as in all of nature, male and female.

Saying One Thing and the Other…
Although it is good to see that Francis had spoken out against the indoctrination of children with ”gender theory” in schools – and his words about accompanying people in pastoral care could possibly be understood in an orthodox manner due to his discussion of confession and Holy Communion – his other off-the-cuff references effectively undermine any good that may have been achieved.Nightmare at 20,000 Feet!

I assume that Mary meant sexual identity, as opposed to gender identity.

Thank you Pinky. As I thought of a response yours is to the point. Who we are body and soul as created by God. Gender identity is Legion. A herd of 4,000 pigs ran off a cliff and drowned in the sea rather than be possessed by the devil. The snake in the Garden entertained the devil.
